  1. Thanks, Stinger. I appreciate your offer.
  2. Now don't go teasing me. LOL I've made it known for some time that I would love to see Rome & Caleb as teammates.
  3. That's the problem. You have been super sensitive ever since your issues with Stinger. Just because I said you were the only one I knew of who was trying to put a positive spin on the ND game doesn't mean I was busting your balls. Hell, there are over 8 billion people on Earth, over 340 million in the US. I'm sure there must be others who share your opinion. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Please, just lighten up. I am a super passive individual. I could never troll or flame anyone. At 75 years old I have never once been involved in a physical altercation. I have always taught my kids to turn the other cheek. So you are reading me wrong. I am not the enemy! I'm a cuddly teddy bear. LOL
  4. I agree. Cut it out! Every time I disagree with you: (choose 1 or more options) a) I miss read you. b) I disrespected you. c) I flamed you. d) I am a troll. Give me a f***ing break. I can't disagree with you without you insulting me and accusing me of trying to pick a fight? Yes, you admitted it was a bad game. Then you try to put a positive spin on it, saying he improved in the 2nd half. Maybe ND, with such a big lead after scoring 3 TDs on CW's INTs in the 1st half, was playing a more conservative game in the 2nd half? Prevent D. Substitutions? No, he didn't quit. But with one TD in the entire game, it is hard to say he turned it around in the 2nd half. It's no big deal. Let's not argue over such a stupid point when we should both be looking forward to Thursday night when CW holds up a Bears' jersey with the #1 on it.
  5. Yep, he went 23/37 and threw one TD and three INTs for 199 YDS. Everyone, including CW, says it like it was. A BAD game. No one except you tries to make it sound positive. It wasn't. He had a bad gameโ€”one game of shame over the course of a brilliant three-year college career. I like CW and have high expectations. The article listed is very positive. It points out how three top NFL quarterbacks had a game like CW's ND fiasco. They certainly prove that one bad college game does not make them a high-risk prospect.
  6. Then I watched a different game.
  7. That is a great article. It starts off on a negative note on Williams, but don't be fooled. It shows the similarities between Williams' terrible game against ND and the really bad games that Mahomes, J Allen, and L Jackson had in college (and how those games, just like the ND game for CW, caused some concerns on draft day). Basically, it says three of the top QBs in the NFL today had games in college that compared to the ND game, but it certainly misled the naysayers. This very detailed article is well worth reading for those wanting to load up on info on Williams before Thursday's draft.
  8. I remember reading, shortly after his signing, a critique of our new OC by a Seattle fan. His complaint was that he liked to push the ball downfield too much, going for big plays and that it wasn't a balanced offense. There were too many passes and not enough runs. If this critique holds any truth (and I can't confirm if it does), it could make for an interesting dynamic. Caleb's 'hero ball' mentality, combined with the talented WRs/TEs at his disposal, could potentially give us a high-scoring offense.
  9. I'd still go for it. We can still get a blue chip at 22 and the two 2nds (50 + 53) would awesome.
  10. Without a doubt, yes, but I doubt they'd offer both 2nd rounders. If they did, it would be an awesome opportunity to fill three needs, after the selection of CW, with quality players in the top 53 of the draft. Then we'd still have a 3rd, 4th and their 6th. Yowsa!
  11. Hell no., 10 wins minimum unless we suffer significant injuries to our blue-chip players. Last year, the Bears won 7 games. There were 2 games I still cannot figure out how we lost, which would have made it 9 wins. We've made strategic changes to our coaching staff, bolstered our defense with a legit Safety, and added depth to our offense with a RB, TE, WR, and strengthened our OL. These are significant improvements that should inspire confidence. Now it appears we will draft our franchise QB and add another blue-chip player. That isn't worth another 2 or 3 wins? Nope, there's no reason to slow my roll.
  12. Oh, Hell Yeah. Excited isn't the word to describe what I'm feeling. I haven't been this 'excited' since my wife and I left the wedding reception in '73 to return to our hotel room. ๐Ÿ˜‰ With our limited picks, Poles will wait to see cuts from other teams after the draft. Hopefully, the FAs available will match our needs to fill any holes needed until we finish the roster rebuilding process next year. If we have any less than 10 wins next year I will be disappointed. Now is the time I need to buy a new TV to better enjoy the upcoming season. OH, Yeah, my friend! We are going to rock!
  13. I read the Bleacher Report often and found this article interesting. I still suspect it will be a difficult contract negotiation. I was surprised by the last paragraph of the article (see below). Although I hope the author's viewpoint is correct, I think it is presumptive. CW, make it so!
  14. If nothing else, I'm sure he knows the scramble drill. LOL Let's hope Caleb can stay in structure and not have to resort to hero ball.
  15. Pixote

    Would you?

Personally, I wouldn't. Maybe our #9 and our 2nd from next year - which will hopefully be around pick #64 ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love Nabers and RO as much as Harrison. All three have the potential to be future Pro Bowlers and top-five WRs.
