Interesting that Whitehair, Sitton, and Massie are well below average.

Having said all that, it is PFF, so <_>

The team needs Long on the field. And the offense desperately needs two tackles. I'd be willing to be Leno isn't much above the others.

Not surprised at all about Massie. My untrained eye can see him getting beat or near beat in most downs, especially on passing downs. He's usually the first one there to pick up the QB after being sacked.

It is confounding why Whitehair is doing so bad. But as you and the article pointed out it must have to do Longs absence and now Sitton after his injury last week. >>Side note: after Sitton went down they shifted Whitehair over and put Grasu in at Center. I wasn't paying that close attention but did they show any improvement there?

Aside from Glennons play this is predominately (supposed to be) a zone style offense which requires mobile linemen, especially in the interior. Jordan looks lackluster and if not for Cohen's shortness, he'd probably be less known. So far most of the offense looks stuck in idle.

Our oline didn't produce last week, but Glennon doesn't help anyone. I don't even know how to rank Whitehair given how many positions he has had to play thus far to start the season. The oline is a unit and a team and needs to work well together and with all the various injuries, etc, it isn't surprising that we've had some trouble. It also doesn't help that we have zero downfield threat with Glennon (or our receiving corps) and it puts the oline in a bad spot (from a pass / run blocking perspective). Does anyone know the status of Kyle Long?

First Whitehair with the limited reps in training camp and practice has been shifted around so far which may be a factor in his inconsistent play.

The other factor is that teams are loading up the box and bringing blitzes from all angles and again with this line not having a consistent 5 the communication has to suffer.

BTW Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy are tough to line up against for anyone.

O-Line play is very subjective to grade. Also, based on the offensive performance, it is easy to see how everyone would have a negative grade. If you are on a rowing team and the other rowers suck, it is hard to stand out. It seems like the deck is completely stacked against the O-Line and RB's: 1. horrible QB, 2. horrible playcalling/scheme, 3. no WR's, 4. injuries.

Like lemon said, teams are constantly blitzing and stacking the box making it virtually impossible to do anything without at least the threat of a deep pass.
