I heard where DJ Moore said he cant believe so many vets aren't showing up for OTAs in Buffalo. He always was a team first guy. I also heard that Harris said that he likes the way Tyrique Stevenson is looking . I would think if they didnt think him and Terrell Smith couldnt fill the #2 CB spot they would have resigned DuShon Wright since he didnt get a big money deal. The OL coach referred to the LT spot and is okay with Jones and Theo's progress to fill in for Ozzy. I think they would have went out and signed Taylor Decker if they didnt think they couldnt handle it. He is still now signed by anyone.
  3. I dont know if the scouting dept. has changed since BJ got here but it seems different in both drafts that we have had. They had a great draft last year and this year seems just as dynamic. It has to have the BJ effect attached to it since Poles has had a lot of misses previously.

I hate the Packers but have to say Lambeau is one of the best stadiums in the league. The only time I went there we won and that was great sitting around Packer fans.
  5. Kmet is on the team for this year. BJ stated every year is a new reset so I am only referring to just this year. If they drafted Roush to replace Cole then why arent they trading him? He is signed thru 2027 and I suspect he finishes that contract. Next year is going to be our SB run so I think they will keep as many good players around for that . Now when Caleb gets his money , if in 27, then he will be gone but I think the Bears pick up Caleb's 5th year option in 27 and then sign him to be the big money starting in 28. I like Kmet but its not some kind of delusional thought that he's here until he retires.

  7. More insight into the draft process. This time they made it clear we got our top two targets. Plus they clearly wanted Zavion because you hear Poles say we can wait a little bit on Thomas but not too long. Dennis Allen at the end thanking Poles for moving up to draft Van den Berg ?
  8. if you mean next year, finding TE3 who are inline blockers isnt that hard. Kmet is not the only TE in the universe, and Roush will be TE2 then.
  9. It's hard to run a 13 set with 2 TEs.

Good vibes. If these draft picks are all crazy football oriented players, this could be a very good draft.
  11. I read where one charge is a felony. My memory fades me but hasn't there been a lot of criminals that has played for the Pack over the years? Thank God the Packers have a top 5 QB to carry the load because they lost their running game.

That’s one way to ensure he’ll never be homeless again.

  15. Everyone is drafted to replace someone.
  16. Thanks kind sir. To Stingers point, I really wanted to make a Packers game but they were too late in the season and wife doesn’t do well at all in cold (ironic I know). Gonna try and make a Packers / Bears game at Lambeau with some neighbor friends after this year.
  17. I wish I had your inside info lol

I know the feeling, I had season tickets for 2 yrs and it was a chore going to cold games. Nice weather wasnt a problem for me.
  19. I was uncertain about the pay taxed place where it goes. I am not sure, but if I worked in Wisconsin but lived in Illinois, it is taxed in WI. That sound right. IF the Bear's moved to Anchorage, I would still be a fan. Many Bear fans on here live other places and it didnt change for them. With modern technology, I never miss a game in Thailand for 5 months, being in the same area has a slight advantage but not a deal killer.
  20. And a team leader. BJ was a TE coach before he became an OC and he loves complete TEs. He drafted one after having 2 in the building. The premise that Roush was drafted to replace Kmet is fictional. Eventual that will happen but not this year and I would assume they renegotiate Kmet's contract to make it a more favorable cap space deal. IMO
  21. well his level of play got a LOT better this past season. hes played himself into a role. I still think this is probably his last year with the Bears, given the Roush pick. But we all discussed his progress all during the year last season.
  22. Heck, I remember that he was a prime trade candidate last year and definitely getting cut this year. He's still a captain and most importantly, still here.
  23. They did not. Someone made a fake X with Schefter saying Carolina is trading for Kmet June 1.
  24. Illinois income tax is 2 percent higher than Indiana. The sales tax in Cook county is 3.5 percent higher than the Indy Metro area. Property taxes and housing are ridiculously higher in Illinois. Jurko lives in Indiana and is constantly saying he prefers the "more house, less money" lifestyle of Indiana. That's coming from a native Chicagoan. Game checks are taxed in the state the stadium is in. I'm not sure about signing bonuses.

I think the main reason BJ was aggressive is because he thought he needed to do that to win with an inconsistent offense last year. This year will not look like last year, he is learning what he can and cant do.
