Loveland and Bruden will have roles in this group but think because of the reasons you listed wont be the top targets this year. 2026 will be the year we get to see all our weapons running at the same speed and boy will that be fun.

Agree with everything you had to say. I think in order of targets DJ-Rome-Loveland-Kmet-Burden- the rest of the targets will be distrubted amongst the rest.

JJ gives the impression he is underpaid because of the large contracts different CBs are getting in the present. He is presently listed as the 13th highest. The average for the other 11 is 57 mil. The top 4 make 64.5-64-63-63 the rest are below 60 mil. So by over all salaries, JJ is 5th in paid money for the next 3 yrs. I would say JJ is not the best CB in the league, I would rate him a top 5 CB and that is exactly where he is getting paid.

Kmet was limited last year because Keenan Allen took his targets and more. Some of the blame goes to Caleb because he wasnt getting through all the progressions and seemed to look DJ and Keenans way. This year, Rome will get Keenans targets, but I predict Caleb's efficiency will improve which will help feed the other mouths.

I have always had the same thoughts as you. I disagree he will be more minimized this year. We are looking at the limitations of our offense thru the same box we always have. The BJ offense will have many more snaps and more targets to share this year. I, as you , dont think he is the winner of the new offense of BJ s but will not be ignore him. Statistically I think the great talent( Loveland) and the steady eddie (Kmet) will be simiiar in targets when the season is over. From 2026 going forward Loveland will gain more and more targets as a star in this league. BJ will shares the targets and we will see as the season progresses how those are distributed.

I like Poles I give him a C+ as a grade. I post things for everyone to look at. You keep grouping me in some bonehead lover of Poles-Fields ect. Just because I like someone for some reason doesnt make me a cult member of their fan club. I give both good and bad traits but you only blindly see something I said positive and blow it out of proportation. I post all kinds of videos from different creators and if they say something you dont like , right away its a shitshow and you start you rant on me putting words in my mouth, believe this, like that. Yeah and he made that comment the other day. In spring of 2024, he got his new deal, I think he was the top CB paid at that point? If not certainly in the top few. Now he's saying in an interview that a lot of CBs got paid more and it might be time to renegotiate. After one year? I dunno if that has anything to do with it, but i am thinking the bears want to get their other CBs some reps. And while Im not predicting it, and JJ is a good player, i wont be shocked if he gets traded. probably not, but its not impossible. You dont chest up to the new coaches their first year. If you look at how his contract is written, we cant do it this year, but next year and any year after we can trade him and it costs us basically $5M against the cap to do it with $16M of increased cap space - or we can keep him for $21M a year against the cap if hell play for that.

The only difference between this year and many others in the past 15-20 years is the bright offensive mind and legit focus on OL. There were many years where someone on this board said something like, “Look at all the weapons! Unstoppable!” We shall see. But I think Kmet is a blossoming TE talent being drastically held back, and he will be even more minimized this year.

He missed mandatory camp and now he is starting training camp hurt with a non football injury. Hope it isn’t serious but I’m a little concerned his ego has gotten a bit too big - need to see him show that hunger. I know he wants a huge new deal just one year after signing. If he wants it - go out and crush it - go be an all pro db! Less talk - more production. Will be curious how BJ and Dennis Allen handle cause this could be a test of leadership - but hopefully it’s nothing.

I hope Burden is ready to go - him missing time during rookie camp was a bummer. Hope he is 100 percent and ready to learn and put in the work! &nbsp Same with Loveland but he gets a minor pass since we knew he was hurt when we drafted him.

I watch a lot of Youtube videos, tape reviews, etc. I read a lot of webpages on the Bears too plus I'll scan a few different message boards but only post here because there is merit to the content. Yet I've never encountered this majority of fans you speak of that love Poles.

I dont think people are idiots because you post them, I listen to what they say, and they are almost always part of that echo chamber narrative stuff that just around and around. The name of the podcast is TTNL, any time you are talking about a breakdown of football players, you always say (I know how to watch tape.) You make my point every time you attack me. You are right I dont know you and you dont know me but you have no problem saying i act drunk all the time, act like an asshole, stupid, make no sense and the the famous BearsFan PHX comment ( you are a pedohpile ). I agree with this - its really only good during the season for post game analysis and tape analysis and also leading up to the draft for player analysis. The rest is noise I agree. This is film breakdown to watch that is also breaking down Loveland tape. I prefer to watch free stuff like this and these are just podcasts hosts. Their are plenty of better breakdown tape by many other actually football guys that do it better.

Thanks for posting this. I was trying to find posts of this site but all I could find is stuff like the two shorts because of the paywall. When you mentioned this site, I joined for one month to find out what their football content is. I agree with some of their opinions and disagree with others. My problem was not their football talk but all the noise you have to listen to too actually get to the football content. I wanted members to see where 90% of your opinions come from. For 10 bucks a month, I wil spend my money on subs that most of their content is actually talking football. Everyone should watch, some of the other members may like this football type of presentation just to much wasted noise for me.

It never a problem in the abstract, but when you have a salary cap, you might want to allocate dollars to another area, like, say pass rush.

There has been a lot of chat about Loveland and Kmet , they are different type of TEs. Some think its one or the other. We have one of the brightest O minds to come along in years , he is all about weapons. Used 12 personal third most in the league. He only had one TE that could catch in Detroit. Its about options, DJ-Rome-Burder-Loveland-Kmet-Swift and to fit in Zaccheaus-Duevernay-DJ-Monangai. I think Loveland will be a star but it may not upload this year. Coming off and injury, has yet to hit the field, no reps with Caleb. Brock Bowers blew the league as a rookie but was the only quality weapon on the Raiders. Colston has a different path but will eventually get there. Kmet is the best catching TE in league the last two yrs by % of catches. BJ will not ignore him. Burdern has yet to get involved in the offense. I think he will be the big play guy on the offense. BJ in Detroit spread the ball around with less weapons. I think he will be third in receptions by WR. No one knows how the reps will be distributed to all his weapons. BJ choose the Bears because of Caleb and now he will feed all of them. This is all a good thing, I love the idea of having too many mouths to feed. For some reason some people thinks thats a problem.
