Monangai is now 13 yds behind Jeanty. Jeanty was the 6 th pick in the draft and Kyle was pick 233. I think its time to give Poles some kudos for not listening to fans and added Monangai to his Swift to give us the best running team in the league. He added 4 starters to the OL. Poles deserved getting called out for his mistakes but while that was happening, he built a team. The best is yet to come.

Its great listening to non Bears media eat crow. We played a desperate team that was 8-3 and SB champs in their house. We controlled the game and came up big to not let them back in the game. Nashoun Wright is getting a big raise next season. In post game interview he thanked Poles for giving him a chance. He aint going anywhere. 4 yr 23 mil sound good?

This is a Eagles fanbase podcast that is killer for the first 5 minutes its worth a listen. As they said Eagles were lucky the score was that close. Also Olin Kruetz in the postgame show on 670 pronounced this as the best OL in the NFL and its hard to argue with him. Jordon Davis is a monster, Calen Carter is an all pro and were run over time after time. Huge holes for the warhorses S and M . At 73 I dont get drunk very often anymore but lite it up today and now after 7 hours am truly appreciating what we just did. This picture is for the national media

With weather like that the Eagles game was never going to be good for passing stats. Nonetheless I still saw good things from Caleb that I havenβt seen much of before. On a couple plays the Eagles blew up the screens and Caleb just threw the ball in the dirt. On one pass play with a shallow crossing route he threw with nice touch to I think OZ who took it for a first down. In the past he put too much velocity on the ball on some of these short routes. He might have cost himself an INT with another soft toss on a screen but regardless I think heβll learn from that and this is still a sign of growth.

Yep, replaced Kenny Clark with Parsons and now lost Wyatt. They are a long way off from the talent of Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter in the trenches. You know they watched that game too and know what is coming their way.

I started the season skeptical of Johnson. After the bye week when he adjusted and made the Bears focus more on the run game I became more of a believer in his ability to coach properly. I said this season reminds me of 2018 2.0 but whatβs missing (so far) are the bone headed challenges, timeouts and other head scratching play calls that Nagy was notorious for, even that year. Today was a master class of play calling. Johnson went in knowing the weather would be a factor and kept Williams in the βgame managerβ setting and didnβt ask him to make splash plays. Fortunately he didnβt have to. The running game and its blocking has advanced to a level we havenβt seen in many decades. This is really cool. I can say confidently; βIn Ben I trustβ.

Letβs go bears - way to go - that was a fun one. Nasty winds, road game, defending Super Bowl champs and we manhandled them. Running back and oline and the defense played great too. I did think the pass blocking struggled at times - at least a few times it looks like Wright got cooked / a few other times the were just confused but on the ground game - wow. Trapillo seemed to hold up outside of a play or two.

The TD he missed to zacheus wasnβt an easy throw with that wind and I think he was going down on the throw to Rome. I think next year we will see Calebβs accuracy take a huge step forward. But you see him throwing guys open more and more, you see him using middle of field and tight ends more, and he is better in an around the pocket. Goff had a 40 percent completion percentage against that D and Love struggled against them too. That is a great D - add in those conditions and while it wast a good game - he did enough when it mattered. I see development out of him every week - but accuracy is obviously not that yet - he has to trust his feet more and that will come with continued reps and another offseason.

The $6mil for a 1st rd contract absolutely would be part of the balance sheet. It's 25% of a $24mil/yr contract. Further you would be spending the money on a more proven commodity versus taking a chance on a rookie, or spending time on the learning curve. Myles Garrett's contract cap hit in 2026 is just $23.6mil.

You thought the Bears ran the ball well this week? Woo boy, Ben's gotta be licking his chops thinking about all the ways they can run right at Micah Parsons this week and overpower him. Chance to take a 2 game lead in the division with a win. Hopefully they get Edwards and Sewell back next week. LFG!

Hard to wrap my head around this, the best team we played all year and we dominated a defense that has 5 or 6 pro bowlers on it. At the end of the third quarter they worked there way back to possibly take the lead and we smacked them back to reality. Pounded the ball and kept Eagles out of the end zone. Caleb not having a good day at the end of the game popped some plays to keep us in the lead. The best is yet to come.

And Detroit is fading. Each week they get further away from Ben Johnson is another week their offense looks a little less efficient.
-
Also the defense is slowly getting bodies back and they played well today. This could be a fairly tale year but I better wait until we beat the Packers. I may be a couple of games away from declaring a SB run. In two weeks both Edwards and Edmunds should be back . Next week Sewell should be back. The best is yet to come.

It's going to take me a long time to come down off this high. We just manhandled the Eagles defensive front for 4 straight quarters. There are a lot of first round draft picks in their front 7. Fangio may have kept the safeties back for most of the game protecting against the big plays Ben Johnson loves but he paid for it dearly. Now we're taking that running game to Green Bay where they just lost their starting DT. We get a couple extra days of rest and planning to boot. If Green Bay tries to do the opposite and load up against the run you know Ben will respond accordingly. It was a horrible day passing for both teams, and a horrible kicking day for one team. 35mph gusts coming sideways in cold weather. It affects the ball. That's why you need a good running game late in the season. Despite all the skill position talent on the roster Ben has been focused on the running game since the beginning of training camp. Dennis Allen has put together a good staff on defense. It's hard to say he's not getting the best out of the talent he has on the field. Even the DE we traded for, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, is making impact plays the last two games. In summary.. the Bears just did to the Eagles what the media expected the Eagles to do to the Bears.

Ben Johnson just outcoached Vic Fangio on a short week. DA had a masterclass with LB5 as his starting Mike. The Bears have scored 24 pts, the 11th time they have scored 24 or more. This offense is still a work in progress, yet still putting up those numbers.
