This is a good look at our roster as it stands at this time. Please note this is not my opinion or am I responsible for content.

I agree, and good for the players. I just think this should have been dealt with in collective bargaining, not like this - but whatever, we got our guys signed, lets go. Like you said, not worth it to try to win pennies youre probably gonna pay them anyway.
-
Ok, so now you are saying they didnt holdout because it wasnt camp yet, and every other sports reporter except you didnt understand that camp hadnt started yet. And that one guy in your video is the only one who gets it. The rest of us knew what we were talking about. I promise you. The rest of this is just more flailing - theres no need to address it. Oh, and by the way, I used the word "roadblock" anyway, and you put this video not on its own, but after my comments so it was some kind of rebuttal. Just give it UP already. You were out there on a limb AGAIN. the first step in fixing things is admitting you have a problem.

Not the Bears I want making a principled stance on player contracts in this direction - not worth it.

How long you going to beat a deadhorse? I reacted to Mongo's statement (I'm growing weary of the second rounders holding out.) I wasnt saying Mongo himself overracted . just to notion some fans in general are.. Right on the video tltle he talks about fans thinking players are holding out. It was players still in negotiations, not a holdout.( iI they dont show up to camp, that's a holdout.). He was not debating the football world about the whole conversation. It was a simple point from people that interacted with his account on Twitter and YouTube that he answered to. Not everyone writes a short story about a topic when they post to a subject like you do. This was never suggestioned to be a 4000 word essay. I have posted a disclaimer on another thread , so you can stop this dislusional premise that I am married to everything someone says or posts that I share. I will try to remember to post the disclaimer on every video I share; so you can stop your endless whining. :definition: (complaining or inclined to complain in a childish or petulant manner)

yes,. I always thought the teams wouldnt lose much to guarantee those 2nd round deals. Still should have happened through collective bargaining, not this way, but so what, we are here and our guys are going to camp. As for the extra money - it was 120% more than years past, only the recent DT signed for 87% guaranteed, and that was new. Players seem to have won this one, 100% or 87% or whatever is a lot better than 40%.
-
Poles isnt jacking around , with one 2nd pick that could have been a problem, he just gave him the extra 13% guaranteed money. Done Adam Scheftner with news from his agents (Win Sports Group) reported fully guaranteed this afternoon. The season is ready to go.

this isnt a podcast, but its short and sweet. https://www.facebook.com/reel/711973231810707

This is great news - I was concerned that if he didn't it would put him out of alignment with the team this year and could lead to frustrations and problems. Cant wait to see all the rookies in camp and preseason!
-
According to my TTNL guys, Burden has signed with a fully guaranteed deal.
-
OK and just as I am typing this... The Bears blinked, and Burden has signed a fully guaranteed deal. Glad to have him in the fold!!
-
I mostly agree with all of this. You definitely were not overreacting. It was a real problem, and thanks should go to the 49ers and the DT that signed and broke the logjam below the #10 spot. There was real progress here in the players' direction. 87% guaranteed rather than the 40% that was usual before. And good for the players! This still leaves picks 3 thru 9 in limbo though, including Burden. I hope he signs quickly, but Im not sure the SF DT signing will affect the players taken above him? I do hope we get him signed quickly, but Im not sure what will happen. The video Stinger posted as a "rebuttal" to what "I said" (when I was really just repeating every journalist on earth that was talking about this story) was crazy, and as you pointed out Mongo, and I had missed this, the video was a month ago, so not even relevant. But time had already proven that video guy wrong. Im not sure Stinger even understood what that guy in the video was even saying. Anyway, we got Trapilo and Turner signed, and those were the two I was most worried about. I do think Burden has the possibility of being a head case (like so many great WRs) so i wonder 1) if he will find a middle in this, or hold out for fully guaranteed unless or until someone above him signs for less 2) if he will be able to get into the lineup if he misses more time with the time 3) if not getting enough targets will sour him and make him a malcontent Im not predicting anything, these are just my concerns with him.

If you look back at my post, I was not overreacting. As a matter of fact, it was hopeful that Poles would be creative. This dude is calling unknowledgeable, butt hurt, fans and I ain't that dude. Anyway, this guy made the video on the premise that he expected the second rounders to be signed before June 19th. Being that was mandatory minicamp, I wonder what his thoughts were before yesterday. It's obvious from his statements that he expected results sooner than they occurred. That's I why I blamed the Seahawks for digging in and log jamming the process. It just takes a trickle before the dam breaks. Glad it happened. I don't expect Burden to take much longer, now that Trapilo and Shemar are in.
-
That is crazy. I said that there was a logjam in the second rounders because the first two had been given fully guaranteed contracts, and now agents were holding out for the same for their clients. Thats been backed up by pretty much everyone. i didnt think it was controversial at all. Then you took my post, reposted it and responded with a video of a guy who said that was all made up and didnt exist, and was just idiots on the internet. He was wrong, you are wrong. You said you were amplifying what Mongo said, but Mongo also knew there was a logjam. I posted a tweet from Ian Rappaport about it. If that doesnt make it true, I dont know what does. The rest of this is just an attempt to cover your stupid and wrong video with some personal nonsense. I dont know why you listened to that moron that no ones ever heard of before, but he was 100% wrong. Last year 2nd round picks were getting 40% guaranteed, now when the logjam broke it was for a deal where the player got 87% guaranteed. I said the players were likely to win this, and it seems they have. 2nd round picks above the 10th taken, where SF signed the DT, are still holding out for guaranteed money, including Burden. Its a real thing - this no name you posted is the only one i ever heard say it wasnt true, well and you. I truly dont get you dude, half the time youre reasonable, and the other half its this absolute nonsense and you dig in and start defending it like a 4th grade argument. EDIT - Is it possible that you didnt understand what the guy in the video you posted said? Were you drinking maybe? Is that what this is all about?

I have been on this forum for 16 years with over 14 thousand posts. Lots of good Bears fans on here. I am not (admin) just a fan. I started this thread just for sharing Bears content from other creators that someone may have not seen, noticed or was aware of. There has been almost 7000 views so someone picks and chooses different stuff to look at. The content of the creators are their opinion or information. Just because I repost them, its just because maybe someone of the 230 members or hundreds of guests may be interested in. It is not always my shared opinion. Many times I have posted content that I disagree with. So to be clear, its about sharing other Bears content and not because its my opinion. Some are done well and some are not. If you like the reposts enjoy them or if you dont ,that's okay just turn it off. Since I noticed there seems to be lots of guests viewing this forum that are not members, why dont you join? That is how I first started getting involved in this site then became a member. May I invite more people to join and freely make comments. You can make comments as a guest, but easier if you join, the more the merrier. Sometimes there are heated arguments but those are only a few of the 230 members it is not a reflection on the majority of members. Most people on here are good Bear fans. This is the perfect year to join , something great is coming. Since I have been a member 2018 has been the only year with lots to cheer about. There is a small group that does the majority of posts but this is the year everyone needs to jump in and enjoy being a Bears fan.

His point was about people getting upset about players holding out, that it will happen normally when training camp starts. He wasnt staticically tried to prove a theorm. Everything I say or anything I post you just go out of your way to say something negative about it. Then your response was (you think this , you think that) all off of just posting a video that stated people dont need to get excited, they will be signed when training camp starts. I was being scarastic in saying he was refering to you. It wasnt some counterpoint to a statement. Have an opinion , call it stupid, nonsensical but its always about taking a shot at me. (You watch a lot of nonsense dude) You just never stop . I worked connstruction my whole life, and learned how to co- exist with people like you. Let me say again, I dont know what your agenda is but I aint going anywhere. If everything I say or everything I do irritates you, have fun in your delusional sense of reality.
