  1. Im thinking Hester and Bennett will end up being the starters with Iglesias as the slot reciever. Knox will come in and be a Hester like in 2007. Im really rooting for Kinder to make the team but I think we will be stuck with atleast 1 more season of Rashied Davis just to have a veteran in the mix.

  2. I think just about every Bears fan was pissed when Bradley was cut. He obviously showed talent his rookie season and given our WR's no reason for him not to get a shot. Ideally I would have wanted Lloyd and Bradley starting with Hester being the 3rd guy. You look at guys that were scrubs for us.. Wade, Gage, and now Bradley go and have success elsewhere, makes you question the coaching staff.

Honestly I appreciate Lovie taking us to th Superbowl, but I'm about ready for a change unless the coaching of this team picks up drastically.

  3. When e constantly get beat on 3rd and long, exactly when we are in the cover 2 scheme, there is definitely a problem with it. I don't know what is going through the minds of our coaching staff in not adjusting this problem. Also I think Babich always misplaces the LB's on passing plays, they are always out of position to make a play. Also, like previously mentioned we definitely need to be more creative on blitzes, they are always being picked up which is unacceptable.

  4. I think he can still be a probowl linebacker, but with the way he is utilized in our defense it isnt going to happen. He spends too much time in coverage and dropping back, a guy with his athletic ability needs to be moreso in the line of fire.

  5. A lot of the comeback was Orvlosky missing a wide open Calvin Johnson a couple times and Matt Forte. Although today was the first in a few weeks I had to question Turner's playcalling. I hate doing a hb toss on 3rd and short, why throw the ball back 5 yards when all you need is 1.

  6. There was nobody open. Our receivers an't the best at getting seperation and our offensive line happens to be the worst in the league..

That was all on Orton though, he had plenty of time.... Should of either found a guy to throw too or get rid of the ball.

  7. Oh, and Devin Hester is a terrible wide receiver..

Yeah, wasnt the best pass but one that should have been completed. That being said if it was a better pass, that was probably a touchdown right there or close to it. This has been hard to watch besides that first drive....

  8. I really dont want to spend a draft pick on a QB, if the Bears want to bring in a veteran I'd be more than fine with that. If we want to rebuild Id sooner give Hanie a shot than spend a first day draft pick on a QB. If we can upgrade the O-Line through the draft and bring in a guy like Roy Williams as a WR I think that would be enough.

  9. Maybe the one poster likes Rex more than he should, but some of you are seemingly the same way with Orton. You would think we never won a game with Grossman as QB with the way some of you talk. All I know is Orton has shown through 2 games he can not complete the deep pass, if so we would of won this game easily. The Panthers realized this and adjusted after Orton initially looked very good. Unless Orton is able to throw the ball downfield and he has had the opportunities these next few games will be very ugly.

Also, Grossman did throw the ball away plenty in pre-season so maybe he has changed. We will soon find out Id imagine unless Orton improves.

  10. Im really glad that after the pre-season the Bears decided not to go with Anthony Adams. Him being the starter for those 4 games scared me in thinking he would be starting come regular season.

  11. Its never to early to talk, to make accurate predictions definitely but thats another story. I do think the biggest need next year going into the draft will be the OL though. I think Buenning will be a future starter for us and obviously Williams too but the other 3 spots need to be looked at. I dont know how many good/avg. seasons Tait/Kreutz have left and Garza can always be upgraded.

QB is also a possibility, but none of the QB prospects that could be in the draft excite me very much. If Orton falters I think a F/A would most likely be brought in next season to compete with Hanie. If we could get 2 solid OL prospects I definitely wouldnt be against drafting 2 in the first day.

  12. I never wish for injury on a player but I do hate the Patriots and Tom Brady a lot. Ive always kind of liked Matt Cassel maybe party because his brother was drafted by the whitesox so I do hope he succeeds. The worse part is Trent Dilfer went on ESPN saying QB's need more protection by the rules which is just utterly ridiculous.... they are babied enough as is.

  13. Orton definitely didnt over-impress or anything. He probably should of had atleast 1 if not 2 interceptions as well, but at the end of the day he kept us in the game and delivered big on 3rd down. To be fair the pocket was collapsing on him often from the left side and it was his first start on the road against a tough defense. Id hope he improves next week because we cant rely too much on our defense every game not too mention teams are going to try and gameplan against forte now.

  14. On the other hand...the left side of that line was also going up against perhaps the best pass rusher currently in the game. And while Orton was hit more times than we'd like, they did their job with the running game, and that opened up the passing game later.

Yeah against someone like Dwight Freeney I was ok with the performance, but in the long run it needs to improve. I havent watched the game a 2nd time yet but to me it seemed like the Colts blitzed more often on the right side, which seems odd as that was our strong side. The good thing is next week without Jenkins the Panthers D-Line is very mediocre with the exception of Peppers, who is matched up against Tait. That will give us more of an idea on what we have in Beekman/St.Clair because if they get pushed around against mediocre talent than there is a problem.

  15. While they didnt get overly abused the left side of the line to me was still an obvious weakness. That being said St. Clair/Beekman didnt get overly abused and did some things well. I do think assuming he is healthy that a left side of Buenning and Williams by the end of the season will be a lot more effective.
