  1. Whitehair has had issues with snaps.  We can now move him over.  I like the pick.  Bears should have a very good offensive line.  This Bears team is shaping up. I still want another receiver.  I wish I could count on Kevin White being health, but you just can't.

  2. I couldn't be any more excited about the Bears picking Roquan..  I either wanted him or Quentin Nelson.  However,  Roquan is more of the "exciting" pick. Nelson would have been solid, but Roquan Smith can carry on the torch of great Chicago Bear linebackers.. Now, tonight I'd like the Bears to get another receiver.  Right now, I'm a happy Bears fan.. Roquan fits perfect for Fangio's nickle D.

Nelson, Long, and Whitehair would be a pretty strong interior oline. Leno isn't that bad on the outside and even Massie is okay (but not great).  I just hope Long can get back to being that pro bowl player (both in performance but also) who can stay on the field. Would be great if he gets the injuries behind him and has a couple strong years!

I have to agree with your assessment.  A strong line makes everyone look better.. Just like a strong pash rush makes average DB's look like all pros.  Give Trubisky time to make plays, and he will make Robinson, Gabriel, Cohen, Jordan look like a potent offense.

  4. I was impressed with Trubisky as a rookie.  He didn't exactly have an stable of reliable receivers to throw to.  He played smart with the football.  Now with Allen Robinson and Gabriel in the mix, the Bears have a legit #1 and slot receiver.  If Kevin White (huge IF) can contribute, then the Bears offense can compete with any in the division.

P.S. I was glad to see Jordy Nelson leave the Packers.  He always seemed to kill the Bears.

  5. While not a sexy pick, I wouldn't be too upset of the Bears went after that Notre Dame offensive lineman.  He's supposed to be a beast and would be able to provide Trubisky protection for the next decade.  I remember when Cutler had a lot of wide receiver weapons one year, but couldn't get the ball to them because their line was atrocious.  Always need studs in the trenches.
