Bears sign OG Vladimir Ducasse

Featured Replies

He's a career back-up who was drafted in the 2nd round in 2010.

To me this just shows the direction our scheme is headed. Ducasse is 6-5, 325. That is a big man. He immediately becomes the Bears heaviest offensive lineman. And he's a guard.

Our offensive line was previously designed for pass-blocking and not so much run blocking. To me this indicates a change in that.

We keep showing interest in OG's and centers. Yet RT is our greatest position of need on the O-line. Is it safe to assume Kyle Long will be changing positions?

Considering we were starting Ryan Groy by the end of last year, it's hard to criticize this signing.

I don't think he actually started. He did play. But I concede your point. Depth is huge.

Groy started the last 3 games. I think he is in the mix and has upside.

Ducasse is not a given to make the roster either, but a good risk

Sorry to say this but Groy sucked

Undrafted fa forced into the starting line up due to injuries and he outplayed Mills... which doesn't say much. Groy played LG but is more suited as the road grading RG with his size. I wouldn't give up on him already.
