  1. first of all he is/was behind another starting tackle in dallas if i am not mistaken.

second and most important.... this is NOT the same type of defense we run in chicago. there is NO comparison between what they run and a cover 2.

You keep talking in circles. He is good enough to start and make an impact in Chicago, but he is stuck behind other starters in Dallas. His numbers for the first 3 years in Chicago are good enough to compare against Dusty's 8 whole games.

If we arent allowed to compare players because they play different defenses, then what are we allowed to compare?

  2. Lets look at Tanks stats now, instead of 2-5 years ago

    6 games, 0 sacks, 7 tackles, 0 PD

Or last year, conveniently left off as well

    8 games, 2 sacks 9 tackles, 2 PD

So a guy who has 16 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 PD in the last two years is a difference maker in this defense?

  3. Am i the only one who thinks his blocking hasn't been the same this year? The wedge doesn't seem to be blowing up people like they used to. Watch the return Cribbs had today and you can see how blocking can open things up so you only have to beat a couple of defenders.

Ayenbedago used to blow up huge holes in front of Hester. To say that losing him hurt Hester in the return department would be a massive understatement.

  4. Some others w/ more total yards than Forte, who has 515/223 for 738:

    AP - 684/65 for 749

    Barber - 540/247 for 787

    Gore - 535/246 for 781

    S. Jackson - 508/259 for 767

There may be others, but those are the ones I expected to see a solid amount of receiving (though APs were lower than I expected).

Thats pretty good company, whether mully and hanley are right or not

  5. I'll just say this- I'm not allowed to give it away without letting everyone know what I do for a living. Vasher could have played this weekend but told Lovie he didn't want to. Now, that's all I'll say.

lol, whitesoxbrian has inside connections to the bears now?

  6. I think the Bears will be one of the highest scoring offenses in the league after this game if not the highest! I know they were pretty close coming into this week, like top 3 or so.

Its funny that the post that preceded this one was:

    KICK THE FIELDGOAL!

So you dont trust one of the highest scoring offenses in the league on the 1 yard line?

  7. A little off topic, Im following my fantasy team at work, and the Chargers Bills game came up postponed, I checked the gameday and it has been locked on the same play for the last 10 minutes. Is something serious going on at the game?

  8. BrianBear, nice to see you talking crap about me on Sox Talk. (whitesoxbrian)

Looks like you have some growing up to do. Oh wait, that's not possible with your two cent brain.

Haha you call me a spammer here. Yet, you have alot more posts than me.

But, it looks like you're a spammer at Sox Talk.

Haha i knew it. I now know to not ever take you seriously.

    I'm done arguing with you.

    Obviously

  9. Bush was electric last night. Had he not tripped on his own feet, he would have had 3 punt returns for TD's which would have broken the record. He was incredible and joy to watch last night.

Perhaps that was his NFL coming out party??

Hasnt he had a couple of those already?

  10. OMG Nay sayers galore. Dallas is not the team you think they are.

Are you seriously this dense? You are completely missing the point. Dallas beat Philly. The Bears beat Philly. That means we havent proved anything in regards to your "And please dont say when we play Dallas, We already played Philly and beat em" comment.

Dallas may not be the team that I think they are(although, probably closer to my belief than yours), but they still have a pretty awesome offense that could give the Bears defense fits.

  11. And please dont say when we play Dallas, We already played Philly and beat em.

What does one have to do with the other? If the Bears beat the Eagles then they automatically can beat the Cowboys? Even if that were true(and it isnt, not even close), Dallas BEAT Philly, so the point is mute

  12. Hesters running style hasnt changed. He doesnt have the same return team out there as he did the last two years, you have to really consider the impact of losing the ST player of the year for the last two years in Ayenbedajo, every time Hester broke a big one Brendan was in the front popping people.

  13. If you look closely at this picture, especially in full size, it appears the ball has broken the goal line. We may have lucked out on this call because I think technically this should have been a TD. Maybe it is just the angle of the shot.

I thought the same thing when i watched last night, but when they showed the goal line view of the play it looked like he got nowhere near crossing the goal line
