  1. O, well in that case I think probably Tommie Harris.
  2. I saw Urlacher with the "C" on his jersey which means captain. I didn't know there were two?
  3. The way he sounded in the locker room makes you think its worst than a Knee sprain and that his career is over, thus eluding to those types of statements.
  4. IIRC the odds are pretty bad that we get back to the superbowl or even the NFC Championship game. See Seattle of last year and others previous. It doesn't look very good. With that said im not close to worried about this being a down year yet. Still plenty of games to see how this turns out.
  5. Daniel Manning isn't a great cover safety. He's a hybrid between a safety and a corner. He is extremely fast and is a pretty good hitter. Idk if he's going to cut it starting in place of Brown but he's probably our next best option. I wish it were McGowan because I like him but he hasn't had a very good start to the NFL season/preseason. The loss of Mike Brown will be heavily felt because he's the emotional guy on this defense. Dusty I really could care less about. We have Walker in place of him.
  6. Mike Brown = Knee Sprain, which means his career is basically over with the Bears you would think. Can't lean on this guy forever. I guess he broke down when talking to the media, tune into Comcast, its up real soon.
  7. Grades: WR's: C- QB: C+ RB: D- OL: D Offense: D CB's: C+ Safeties: B- LB's: B- DL: A- Defense: B+ For the first 3 and a half quarters we shut down there running game but Gates really killed us so thats why the grades dropped a tid bit. Harris was awesome and the Linebackers were kinda meh but did good. 3 up 3 down: UP- Berrian, Clark, Arch Down- Benson, OL, Hester??
  8. Bettis thinks the Bears and Chargers will be in the superbowl against each other.
  9. He said that he took it to help recover from his Diabetes and to lead a better life. Makes sense, I guess..
  10. Leak has been very efficient with the ball. Reminds me of a much more accurate Kyle Orton his rookie year. He does all those dump off passes and fade routes that don't get alot of yardage but it still can work. This guy just by tonights performance has earned a spot on atleast the taxi squad, maybe number 3 down the line after Griese leaves. I really like how he presents himself. He isn't scared of making a mistake as you saw on that fabulous pass and catch by Mike Hass, you gotta like that in a rookie. Right now he's 12 for 17
  11. That 15 is pretty awful, Leak shouldn't have gotten an interception on that pass. Poor hands.
  12. Holy hell that Ball kid just made a fantastic one handed snare. It doesn't count because it was out of bounds but my god was that a great catch. It was a legit one HANDED grab, not one of those curl it into your body catches. Too bad it wasn't in bounds. EDIT: Just as I say that Mike Hass makes an amazing grab of his own but this one is for a touchdown. He made a leap to the sideline and jumped up and caught it over this dudes helmet. Reminded me of a little Tyrone Prothro catch of NCAA last year but not as good.
  13. Its pretty clear that the Bears didn't really much care about this game.
  14. 1 series for the starters.. I didn't even notice if Tommie Harris was in?
  15. eh, Brown has been MIA for the last few years during the season that his leadership role has diminished quite a bit in my eyes. Of course im not the one playing so I don't know but to me the most important position in this cover 2 defense is Brian Urlacher. Hes the best player on the team and he plays middle linebacker, a historic position throughout the years on the Chicago Bears so Im going with Brian.
  16. I don't think so. Bears.com says you might miss the starters if you blink after opening kickoff so obviously that means they dont expect the starters to play alot.
  17. Hmm, I almost forgot about this game. What a weird day. It won't be as good as the last one because I don't think the starters will play more than a series or two at the most. I think this is more of a game for the lesser players trying to make the team. Predictions: Rex Grossman 3/5 35 yards 0 TD 0 INT Cedric Benson 3 carries 12 yards 0 TD Bernard Berrian 1 catch 11 yards 0 TD Brian Griese 4/11 56 yards 0 TD 1 INT Kyle Orton 10/16 135 yards 1 TD 0 INT Chris Leak 7/12 40 yards 1 TD 1 INT
  18. I never said he was as good as Moss, I was implying that he played like and has the body structure of a Randy Moss. When I went to training camp he caught every single pass and became the guy I rooted for to make the team.
  19. No, not enough to punish him. Nobody knows the whole story so I say don't do anything and lets just get on with our lives.
  20. Darn I liked Rideau alot. He reminded me of Randy Moss when I saw him in camp. He also had a great preseason. Sure he had a dropped ball or two but the good outweighed the bad. Hopefully we can get him again down the line sometime.
  21. Well I was wrong, shame on Briggs. You'd think athletes would know by now, especially on the Bears and Bengals that you just can't conduct this kind of behavior. Obviously they can't have him take any tests for suspicion of DUI because he left the scene and by that he could have sobered up or get hammered if they chose to test him the next day or something.
  22. There is absolutely no way he would have left. Someone definitely would have seen him and it would have been reported in the story either about speculation or that he did leave. I mean honestly it would be pretty easy to see someone get out of a car and get picked up in another car or leave the scene by walking or running away. My guess is somebody stole the vehicle.
