Ex-Jets coach Rex Ryan and ex-Bears coach Marc Trestman could wind up on the same team next season. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, when Ryan is asked who his offensive coordinator will be if he becomes a coach again, one of his strongest pitches includes Trestman.

Ryan has been a hot commodity since he was fired by the Jets. He's interviewed with the Falcons, Bills and 49ers.

Wonder if that's why we haven't interviewed him? Perhaps he turned us down because he knows Trestman couldn't/wouldn't be his OC.

Who knows, maybe Pace added him to the list of potential HC interviews. He did describe a guy that could get guys to buy in, lead a group of men, charismatic..

Those are all things Rex are known for. If the Bears brought him in to interview and got the job Im sure Rex has other OC's he has in mind.

I was hoping the Falcons former OC would hang around long enough for us to get him as an OC and pair him with Rex.

Now I guess we know why he isn't on our list.. Unfortunate.
