January 14, 201511 yr comment_142805 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...-as-head-coach/ Very interesting. This means Gase is still out their. If Denver goes with Kubiak, maybe Gase reunites with John Fox as OC. Report
January 14, 201511 yr comment_142822 Still haven't heard anything different about Kubiak leaving Denver, but I certainly hope this reigns true. Report
January 14, 201511 yr comment_142823 I don't see Gase as someone with championship experience, so I am guessing that he isn't Elway's first choice. There's a good chance he could be available if Fox wants him here and they are on good terms. Report
January 14, 201511 yr comment_142832 So if Fox gets the gig, and it was down to Gase or Kyle Shannahan, who do you prefer. Which guy would be best to develop our next QB? Do these guys have the ability to adapt their offense to different personal, or do they not adapt well? Could Gase/Shannahan be a legit future HC and leave in a year? All thoughts to consider. Report
January 14, 201511 yr Author comment_142833 Mike Martz says that Gase is one of the 3 brightest offensive minds in the NFL. I think Martz knows offense and is a genius and I still wonder how we would have finished that year with Martz had Cutler not gotten hurt. That was the most fun I had watching any Bears offense. Unfortunately it didn't last and Cutler send him to the door. I'm taking Gase if given the choice, but think either are good choices, although I think Shanny has a higher likelihood of irritating people and getting canned in a year. Report
