2008 East West Shrine Game - 01/19

Featured Replies

I'll be keeping an eye out for Jonathan Hefney, a 5'9" safety out of Tennessee to see to what degree his size might hold him back at the next level, RB Allen Patrick out of Oklahoma to see how fast he is, and WR Paul Hubbard of Wisconsin cause I think we need some size in our WR corps.

Tyler Polumbus - Colorado - LT 6'8" 300lbs

Had a few classes with him here at CU. All around nice guy with a great attitude and very capable Left Tackle....Think the Bears should take a look at him he should be available 5th - 6th round.

I could have sworn that SIU QB Nick Hill was going to play in this game. Is there another college "all-star" game?

There's a whole mess of them. The Shrine Bowl is this weekend. The Senior Bowl is next weekend (generally the best of the post-season bowls). The Hula Bowl and Cactus Bowl were last weekend (I think).

Looks like Hill is in the Texas vs. the Nation Bowl: http://texasvsthenation.cstv.com/

The players that caught my eye:

Josh Johnson - QB

BenJarvus Green-Ellis - RB

and

Derrick Doggett was listed as a DB for the game and seems to have the ability to play safety.
