I just noticed that he hasn't missed a game in his career.

2003: 16 games

2004: 16 games

2005: 16 games

2006: 16 games

2007: 16 games

Very impressive for an outstanding special teams guy.

I REALLY think we'll give Ayenbadejo the money he wants (2 million per season?) There's been speculation Dave Toub is a big reason our special teams are so good and we'll find a replacement, but he's been a GREAT ST's player. We kind of scoff at the fact we've been #1 in special teams, but when was the last time we were #1 in defense? The 80's??? When was the last time we were #1 in offense? The Sid Luckman era?

Sure Devin Hester, Gould, Maynard, & Idonije have been huge in giving us that #1 rank. But if we have to overpay a little to get him, it's minor in terms of the entire cap picture and he's definitely worth it.

I don't think we go to his asking price of $2mil but he'll get an offer well over 1 million, maybe adding in big bonuses for Pro Bowl and special teams ranking. I'm talking about the Bears own rankings of tackles by special teams players.
