Jonathan Ogden to retire

Featured Replies

The Baltimore Sun reports that Jonathan Ogden is expected to announce his retirement in the coming week.

The first ballot Hall of Famer has reportedly let people around him know he's retiring, but hasn't told Ravens coach John Harbaugh. The Ravens we're expecting him to return necessarily, but this is a massive blow to the entire Ravens offense, who loses its best player.

He would look good in a Bears uniform, he's only 33.

Agreed. I'd love to see the Bears woo him out of retirement. Although, that means the Bears wasted a first rounder on a rookie who won't play. So, despite the fact that I love the idea of having Ogden on the Bears, it would be counter-productive unless the Bears plan on using their first rounder as a stop-gap at OG (which could mess him up at OT for the rest of his career).
