August 12, 200817 yr comment_43626 Thanks for posting that!!! I those videos were shut down? That being said, no wonder we're looking at Chris Simms. Granted, this is just a snippet of practice, but both QB's looked pretty bad: Orton: Underthrew Riddeau (although Brandon made on helluva a catch.) Then he throws an interception. In pre-season, Orton seems to be turning the ball over just as much as Rex. Rex: Sure our offensive line got owned, but why is Rex still hanging onto the ball? I don't want to see him getting sacked 5 times a game again this year. If we are serious about Simms, I honestly don't think it's so much for this year as next year. (although we'd have to sign him). We've had a quarterback competition and neither one looks consistently good. I'll predict that Rex is gone after this year, we draft a quarterback very high, we bring in a veteran (like Simms) and Orton sticks around for another QB competition. (Just for the record I hope like hell I'm wrong about that . . . I'd much rather see us have to use the franchise tag on Rex after he makes the pro-bowl) Report
