He's a good option.

Remember, they just drafted Conte (who they're high on), they took Major Wright last year, and C.Harris is still under contract. I doubt Weddle would want to come here and have to compete for a job. I know he's better right now than Wright or Conte, but JA isn't going to ditch his last 2 FS's drafted already. Chances are, if you sign Weddle, it'll be a 3-4 year deal.

I think Conte is at least one year, if not two, away from being ready to start in the NFL. Remember he was a converted CB so he doesn't have a lot of experience at FS.

I've never been particularly impressed by Weddle. I'd rather see what Conte and Wright can do.
