Collins is the third veteran defensive tackle the Bears have picked up since the draft, as the team previously signed John McCargo and DeMario Pressley.

 

The 6-foot-2, 296 pound Collins appeared in 13 games over two seasons with the Jaguars before being released in March. Collins had 10 tackles, a half a sack, a fumble recovery and a pass defensed for the Jaguars.

Collins was a solid player in college. He's only played one year in the NFL and he's only 24, so he might make the team. He did have a marijuana arrest in February, IIRC.
