Not necessarily...I can't find a thing about this guy but I don't see why they'd work him out without the potential of signing him. That makes little to no sense.

Its called due diligence. Bring him in work him out. If he blows u away offer a non gtd deal. Teams do this all the time

That's kind of my point...I'm just saying "workout" doesn't necessarily mean he won't make the team. They're bringing him in to see if he can make the team, they're not just wasting there time.

Sometimes they bring in players like this to see if they would be a viable option if someone gets injured either in camp or even during the season. So yes, due diligence.
