Why would he have to rework his contract? What does he have, one year left? Were not hurting for cap space, we might as well hang on to him and see if he can stay healthy.

Thats why Im not sure I trust the credibility of this New York sportswriter. I dont think many people outside of Chicago know about what kind of player Brown is. When healthy he is one of the best safeties in the league and he is absolutely a leader on the field and in the clubhouse. Archuleta as an insurance policy...great. Archuleta as a replacement for MB...I dont think he can fill those shoes.

The article from the Southtown quotes Lovie as saying he thinks Mike Brown is gonna be on the team next year and contributing, I hope thats the case.

They were talking about the Archuleta trade on Cold Pizza and were saying that it will probably lead to the release of Mike Brown. I really hope that isnt the case. We still have him for another year for cheap and he is one of the biggest leaders on the team let alone a fan favorite. Does anybody think this will happen? Would the Bears really just release Brown?

They were talking about Archuleta again on the NFL network today and said the Bears are more than likely going to acquire him through a trade this offseason.

I am also excited to see what Dusty has. I think hes gonna be a solid player and should definitely be in the rotation and get some minutes.

I wish we would sign him long term but not for Urlacher money. I think he plays next year for the Bears with the tag.

Thats what I was talking about when I said he sounds like he was backpeddling. Id say the worse case scenario is he sits out but the longer this goes on the less likely that seems. If he does end up staying tagged and played hes gonna look stupid.

It was just weird to hear him say he would stay if they paid him what he wanted when he said he would never wear a Bears uniform again.

Did anybody else that watched that interview see Briggs seem to backpeddle on his stance. He went from never playing for the Bears again to he would if they paid him a fair salary. On another note I would love to either get Landry or Poz in the first round.

If there was an effective way to spam the official board or espn board it would work easily IMO. Both of those boards are terrible and are filled with trolls so I know theres a decent amount of people who would be interested.
