  1. I know, my point remains the same. The Bears have been horrendous at drafting in the 1st round for a number of years, and it's why they never make the playoffs.

Yeah, I hear you. However, Floyd has only played 4 games his entire career so far. However, Kevin White's career is not all it's cracked up to be. (too soon?)

  2. Last 5 1st round picks:

2016- Floyd (.5 sack through 4 games, doesn't look like the elite pass rusher he was supposed to be)

2015- Kevin White (4 games played out of a possible 32; IR'd twice; major bust)

2014- Kyle Fuller (Had a great 4 games to start his rookie year, then regressed majorly; IR'd this year; bust)

    2013- Kyle Long (Stud)

    2012- Shea McClellin (Bust)

When you look at the last few drafts, especially in the 1st round where you absolutely cannot miss, it's no surprise why the Bears are where they are. Until they get a GM who can draft well, they will always be bad. Stop taking PROJECTS with your 1st round picks!

Pace didn't draft Fuller, Long or McClellin

  3. espn article:

One of the more poignant moments of ESPN's 30 for 30 on the '85 Bears was when members of Buddy Ryan's famed 46 Defense read a letter from their former defensive coordinator, often fighting back tears while reading it. Ryan, who was in poor health at the time and died Tuesday, was unable to attend any of the reunion festivities surrounding the premiere of the documentary earlier this year.

Here is the transcript of that letter, which was signed, Coach Buddy Ryan 46:

    To my guys,

In 1981, many of you signed a letter to George Halas to save my job. Now I’m writing a letter to all of you to say thanks. I wish I could be there to say it in person, but this will have to do.

Thank you to the Super Bowl Champion 1985 Chicago Bears, the greatest football team in NFL history. You gave me the best memories of my coaching life.

You all mean the world to me. I’ll love every one of you until the day I die.

I told you this a long time ago, and it’s still true: You guys will always be my heroes.

    Love,

    Buddy Ryan

Bears strengthen offensive line, sign former Arizona guard Ted Larsen

The Bears continue to add depth on the offensive line, agreeing to terms with guard Ted Larsen on a one-year deal. The maximum amount Larsen can earn in 2016 is $2.

    $2? Wow what a steal! ;)

Bears have signed long-snapper Aaron Brewer to one-year contract. Brewer spent the last four years with the Denver Broncos where he previously played under Bears coach John Fox and special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers.

Danny Trevathan was given word that the Bears would be adding more pieces to their defense. The linebacker is pumped for what may be coming.

What a week it would be if they added Hicks and Freeman today. They would have a lot more leg room in the draft.

  7. saw same thing that they are signing him. http://nfltraderumors.co/breaking-bears-be...anny-trevathan/

Bears signing Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan

    The defections in Denver continue.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan is leaving for Chicago.

The soon-to-be-26-year-old linebacker is a good fit for the Bears, and well familiar to coach John Fox who had him with the Broncos. The link has been there for days, but now the deal is done.

  8. Is the only purpose to this move to pull in a few bodies and see what they have? Any other advantages to it?

Probably that and there is not point to putting someone in the game that has an injury that could be made worse, after all there is no point to the game as winning it does nothing but give you a worse draft choice at this point.

  9. That's it... Seasons over. 😎

If I recall correctly; Williams had a pretty decent pre-season and early season(?). Would've liked to see him play a little more this year. Oh well, hopefully he'll make a lasting enough impression this weekend.

I thought Williams name sounded familiar! That's why
