  1. Don't forget about Bowman either....the Bears have moved him over to FS also to give him more of an opportunity to play. His performance against Minny was pretty solid and showed if he can stay healthy he can be a playmaker.
  2. Every year we have the negative nancy's, if they were drafting, we would have taken Iglesias at 49. I'm fine with who we take, ya i have my favorites/targets too but I rarely get critical. Now if Duke is passed up again, it's a different story LOL
  3. We need to boost the DL, especially the DE. Ya, were fine for 2009, but if we don't add someone this year, were screwed in 2010. Just like on offense, it starts with the line on defense also. The front four on defense makes the DB's look a lot better if there getting pressure on the QB
  4. Let's go Bear Bro's - twelve more picks and were up.
  5. I have a hard time believing he would slip out of the first 1/2 of the 2nd RD, but if he's there it's a no brainer. My Big board would be: Nicks, MJohnson, Robiskie, Delmas, RJohnson, W.Moore. I've been hearing whispers that the Bears are eyeing up William Moore S Miz and are looking more into what he accomplished his junior year. If he performed at that level his senior year, he would have been a RD1-15 player. Injuries held him back, so the Bears may change their mind on him since JA said they will take that into more consideration.

    Boldin

The latest I heard was we may offer Hester and our 2nd for Boldin, but thats coming from some guys I work with. As much as I love #23 and have invested in him, I'd still make it happen.
  7. 46. Houston Texans - The Prophet - Donald Washington, CB, Ohio State Updated draft order: W/ the Bomber on the clock. 47. New England Patriots (from San Diego) - MadLithuanian - On the clock 48. Denver Broncos - Stinger226 - Ron Brace DT 49. Chicago Bears - MadLithuanian - Mohammed Massaquoi WR 50. Cleveland Browns (from Tampa Bay) - Pixote - Jared CookTE 51. Dallas Cowboys - Chitownhustla - Juaqin Iglesias WR 52. New York Jets - Drunkbomber 53. Philadelphia Eagles - Ashkum Bear 54. Minnesota Vikings - jason 55. Atlanta Falcons - Ashkum Bear 56. Miami Dolphins - The Prophet 57. Baltimore Ravens - MadLithuanian 58. New England Patriots - MadLithuanian 59. Carolina Panthers - Flea 60. New York Giants - Dabearsdabomb 61. 8. What do you guys think of the whole Jay Cutler nightlife fiasco that the media is currently playing out. I think the Chicago media (especially the papers) have no clue anymore. This is probably one of the biggest weeks were you can generate interest in your product by building up a buzz about the draft and prospects, but they failed to do so and instead make it out that it is "evil" to go out on your time and have a good time. No wonder they are losing out and eventually going to have to fold. It cracked me up listening to the score tonight and some "nerd" called in and compared Cutler to a CEO of a company and that it was not proper for them to hit the club and have some drinks. I think it's great Cutler and Olson are hitting it off and can have some drinks together, thats how some of the greatest bonds can be formed. Hopefully they form a connection on the field also. I'm grateful of the respect the people of Bourbonnais have, if you thought the last picture of Cutler and Olson were bad, some of the things you see during TC could be taken just as bad also. These guys are just people, like you and me, let them live there lives and as long as they don't break the law WTFC.
  9. Or how bout the last time we won the Super Bowl our leading scorer also wore #6. Just bring out your old Butler jersey, remove the B and stitch on a C and your ready to head down to Miami.
  10. RD2-49 Louis Delmas FS - With the 1st and 2nd level WR's off the board, the Bears select the top rated FS. RD3-99 Mohammed Massaquoi WR - Bears had him targeted in RD2- Massaquoi is a quick big target the Bears are looking for. RD4-119 Zack Follett SLB - Bears need an upgrade over Roach/Hunter, Zack is a hard hitter, superb instincts, pass rushing mutha that JA is drooling over. RD5-140 Matt Shaughnessy DE - Hard worker that needs some fine tuning and body refinement. Attn:RodM/RustyJ RD5-154 Jason Watkins OT - Developmental player to groom behind Pace, Shaffer, and Williams. Another RT/LT prospect. RD6-190 Brandon Tate WR - Bears take a shot on a playmaker that can also do double duty as a returner. RD7-246 Ray Feinga OG - Big mauler OG that will fit in a power run game, needs some work w/ Dusty to get in better shape RD7-251 Morgan Trent CB - Big physical corner with big game experience WR and FS are the two biggest needs to be addressed this offseason. Delmas is a can't miss at #49 and only Nicks/Britt/Robiskie can change JA's mind here. JA goes early on D addressing FS, SLB, and a DE Marinelli can work with. On offense, WR was the biggest concern and the Bears grab two hoping to strike gold. Two offensive linemen are also picked and they will need to be groomed for a couple of years before they are ready.
  11. That was hilarious, especially when they go to Denver and Bowlen and McDaniels are talking about what to do with all their draft picks. I spit up all over the key board. Thanks for posting!
  12. I also think WR is the main target, but if Nicks/Robiskie are gone, we may look to move down to regain a pick. Move down 10-15 spots and regain a late 3rd to early 4th RD pick. I think the type of WR we need is someone who is a little bigger in size that can use his body/height to help out Cutler: Brian Robiskie 6-3 210 4.50 .................................2nd Mohammed Massaquoi 6-1.5 210 4.67..................late 2nd-3rd Louis Murphy 6-2 205 4.43...................................3rd Ramses Barden 6-6 230 4.61.............................late 3rd-4th Marko Mitchell 6-3.5 218 4.47............................4th-5th Aaron Kelly 6-4 205 4.55..................................5th Patrick Turner 6-5 223 4.70...............................6th I'd be very happy if we can trade down w/ CAR to 59. we trade: 2-49 = 410 5-154 = 29.8 .....for CAR's... 2-59 = 310 3-93 = 128 2-59 Mohammade Massaquoi WR..........Bigger WR that can block/catch 3-93 Gerald Cardogan OT.........Penn St LT has played G, young swing OT 3-99 David Bruton FS..............has all the athletic ability, will need some work on angles/technique 4-119 Zack Follett OLB............Lovie loves Follett, don't be surprised if he's our 3rd RD selection 5-140 Marko Mitchell WR ........Bigger deep threat for Cutler 6-191 Quinn Johnson FB...........Johnson or Flameatta -FB to replace McKie whos often injured 7-246 Kirston Pittman DE..........LSU DE who's play slipped some last year compared to 2007 7-251 Donald Washington CB Ohio ST/ Morgan Trent CB Mich........bigger CB's in mold of Tillman that played at big programs 7-
  13. There are some big football experts saying that the Ravens may even take Delmas, not much of a reach IMO.
  14. Here's some evidence that maybe the finger should be pointing more towards Lovie and not Turner???? "Not taking anything away from a defensive head coach," Orton said. "That's what they know, that's their passion, and that's what they're going to coach toward. I know we were safe a lot of times in Chicago. There were a lot of game situations where we played it pretty safe and let our special teams and defense win it." If Orton is struggling now, it's containing his enthusiasm at the prospect of playing for an offensive-minded coach such as McDaniels. The Broncos' system will ask its quarterback to throw oodles of high-percentage passes a game, mostly from the shotgun formation. "Taking nothing away from my days in Chicago, but this is an offense that a quarterback can thrive in," Orton said. "Hopefully, I can take the next step in my career and become a top-level quarterback in this league."
  15. The Eagles are surprised this DE is still available as he has been climbing the boards lately. The Eagles select: DE Robert Ayers Tennessee
  16. I would tend to agree even though I'd like to see who we end up getting
  17. draftcountdown has some good scouting reports, they seem to breakdown skill sets better. Walterfooball also has profile reports, but there really not as good.
  18. He's slowly climbing up on all the mock drafts, the more people look into him, the higher he would go. I liked the piece they did on him on the NFL channels Path to the Draft. If Robiskie is off the board, I would'nt trade down very many spots if we're looking to draft him. I think if anything, we take him and try to move up to take Inglasias or Mossiaupo sp?
  19. The Atlanta Falcons have urgent needs at DT, CB, OLB, and TE and want to continue to build the team around the franchise Matt Ryan. So with the 24th pick of the NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons select..........Brandon Pettigrew TE from Oklahoma St. The Prophet is up next with the 25th pick belonging to the Miami Dolphins.
  20. No problems, just giving some ribbing along with Madlith. The Eagles are starting to become depleted in the secondary along with many other positions, but the secondary was the hardest hit. So with there pick 21st pick they select the UofI CB - Vonte Davis. Jason and the Minny Queens are now on the clock!
  21. Orlando Pace is like a 7 time all-pro. I'm fine moving our 1st RD pick to the right side and letting him learn from one of the greatest to play that position. After this move, I myself wish we would have now selected Brandon Albert (KC) who can also play guard, but I'm not upset over the C-Dub pick.
  22. Is Detroit going to skip there pick? I thought they were going to do that with there #1 pick so they don't have to pay the top $$$. LOL Players possibly on there big board: Best Oline men available: Eben Britton RT, William Beatty LT, Max Unger C/G/OT Best LB available: Brian Cushing OLB, James Laurinitias LB, Best player available: Vonte Davis CB, Michael Johnson DE,
  23. Redux: If Robiskie is still on board, we have to take him but if he's gone and it's up to Inglesias or Rashad Johnson, I'll go R Johnson. I do think Rashad Johnson will be a Mike Brown type of S, even though Johnson compares himself to Ed Reed. 2.) "Robo" Robiskie WR 3.) Sherrod Martin FS 4.) Zack Follet OLB - may not look like a need, but he is high up on Bears board b/c of pass rush ability 5.) David Veikune DE 5.) Jason Watkins OT - RT to groom 6.) Andy Kemp OG - Wisc is the cradle of Guards 7.) John Gill DT - Northwestern kid 7.) Brannon Southerland FB - FB to challenge McKie
  24. I had posted what it would take to move up earlier, here's a recap broken down as round & pick and what there value is: Its a possiblity, but we would be trading every tradeable pick to move up about 15 slots, that may give us: RD2-35, 3-99, 7-246, 7-251. I can see us doing it if that one player is available (hmmmm-I wonder who that may be) 2-49 = 410 4-119 = 56 5-140 = 36 5-154 = 30 6-191 = 15 ------------------- .......... 547 pts = PICK 35 (3rd pick in the 2nd RD)
  25. Another player to possibly consider is Darrell Jackson Darrell Jackson 5-11 210 age 30 He was hurt most of 2005, came back to help Seattle in 2006 make it to the Superbowl, set record for most 1st Quarter Rec., was traded after the 2006 season to SF. Didn't produce at SF and released. Signed on at Denver!!!, but sat behind Marshall, Royal, and Stokely on depth chart. I'm not sure if he is suffering from an injury or just dropped off, but he used to be a stud at Sea. Maybe worth looking into.
