  1. I hope he's 100% and show up like he did in preseason. Sweat can use the help and maybe his production increases.
  2. Glad to see help is on the way. With this news, I assume Stevenson injury news will not be positive later today.
  3. I thought Rome was a wasted pick last year, so not going to judge the pick. Especially since Loveland missed so much time at the beginning. One thought, I wonder how much Caleb used TEs in college, because he hasn't thrown to them much since he's been a Bear. I am frustrated with this offense, but lets give them time to put it together. Penalties, bad calls from refs, and poor special teams play has put the Bears in tough situations. Eventually it should come together...we hope
  4. The 2023 Browns Flacco took care of the Bears. With little pass rush and 2-3rd string DBs, Chase and Higgens could have a huge game.
  5. I wish I knew what the issue with the Bears was. The curse seems to follow gms, coaches, QBs from regime to regime. Drafts never go how we envision and FA seems like a lot of hope our signees rebound to previous form or become a late blossoming star. Are we only one good draft away? Look at this last draft class and who is making us better now? This team is basically what it will be a year from now besides Loveland taking form, so the guys we watch now need improve on playing mistake free since that has been the biggest success killer. Id like to see Caleb get more accustomed to this offense over these next 4 games and become a general. Watching Manning and Rodgers command the offense and know what to do every snap is what we envisioned with him. He can get there, but needs to trust his team and not just Rome and his running sideline throw.
  6. Push off by Hopkins.....no call Mitchell spins the ball, no penalty
  7. Caleb needs to step up his game. His long run was great, but if your not going to run out of bounds, then dont slide and get the extra yards. Then 2 intentional grounding calls is poor. His game day mind is not right
  8. Seen Gordan went on IR and out at least 4 games, haven't researched that report so might be false. So frustrating with these injuries.
  9. It won't be that much. Houston received a 2027 6th for Cam Robinson and a 2027 7th. They will get something along those lines in my opinion.
  10. It makes you think these guys are following advice from Nate Davis. At least this draft is one of the deepest for CB in a while, id imagine the Bears take one in rounds 1-3 the way this season has gone.
  11. I think most of our needs can be filled with the draft right now. Word on the streets are we covet a LB/DE from Texas Tech. I can see them extending Byard bc he will be cheaper than Brisker. Draft a safety to replace Brisker.
  12. Im sure there will be some, but. I thought some would have happened before this season but it never happened. Poles and Johnson will have to make some difficult decisions once the season concludes. I dont think they know much yet since the team is only starting to take mold. Two weeks ago, Swift was a goner, now he is firing.
  13. He will end up somewhere as a backup gadget guy like Taysom Hill and live on in the Beartalk threads
  14. Listened to Patrick Mannely tonight, he praised how great the oline has become at run blocking, working together, and the RBs are showing the results. He said teams will now have to respect the run and play 8 in the box or different personal. This is the type of offense that allows BJ to mix it up and start attacking with formations that show run and are pass and vice versa. Once he has defenses guessing, then the TEs can start slipping out into the seams
  15. He might be trying to break him from that instinct of running. I noticed when he bailed the pocket, he tried to loop around back in to it. That gives him the whole field instead of half on finding a open receiver. All good things I think.
  16. The writers built JD up after his ROY and playoff season. They are not giving up on his performances yet when his top two targets are banged up. For the narrative to change with Caleb, he needs to win and be more consistent. Caleb has been carried by the Ds turnovers but hindered by penalties (his cadence partially to blame) and STs (huge return differential). Caleb is on his way to flipping the narrative just by winning. If he/O can clean up the pre-snap Ps and throw on time, the sky's the limit. I think we all see he has some boxes to check and I expect BJ to get those fixed.
  17. Is it all on Kmet, Caleb, the OC? I may have seen a few plays schemed to the TE a game. I don't think Ben is ready to release TE plays until the oline and run games are solid. Also, as stated by others, there are a lot of mouths to feed.
  18. What i have heard is they are using a very small sample or group of plays right now. The offense is very complex and they are taking baby steps. Every person has to know where to line up, the motions, etc. We want the 90s Rams, but have to swallow that these guys need to learn and more will be worse.
  19. The speculation is torsion. Id go get the checked out too. Grok: Testicular torsion is a serious condition involving twisted blood flow to the testicle, causing severe pain and potentially requiring emergency surgery to avoid tissue damage or loss. However, official updates on DJ Moore describe his injury as a day-to-day groin issue, with no mention of torsion.
  20. But Ben Johnson wanted his LaPorta and made the personnel decision, right? I think you have to give this offense time to develop. They finally showed a running game which who knows if it was a fluke. As for Poles and the Bears draft picks, lets see how this team starts looking once functioning. They are barely winning games and still making foolish mistakes.
  21. Not sure if this was noted, but DJ Moore did not travel home with the team. He spent the night in DC at the hospital. He was injured in the 1st half, played the rest of the game, and decided to get medical attention. That makes sense why he looked out of it on the sideline. Looks like it was a groin injury or testicular torsion. Hopefully a quick recovery or something that he can play through.
