That is what I am saying. Let him roll all pre-season and put his game on display. If the Bears feel good with developing a new backup next season, then turn Bagent into a 2nd or high 3rd. The QB class is supposed to be deep, maybe get a 4th or 5th round prospect.

Trapilo back sooner than expected
Coaching matters. The best talents will waste in the nfl unless coaching and the team invest in them. If the player dont feel wanted they end up going through motions. Lets hope Wills takes this new opportunity to be and feel relevant. Same with Braxton Jones and Kiran, may the best win the spot and the remaining are ready to step in.

Love BJs drive and goals. As long as he remembers they play outdoors in Chicago and that can change offensive conditions come winter, wanting to be the best should not be frowned upon. Now that the offense looks top 5 on paper, maybe better. I think getting the D established needs some high level analytics to build the line with driven players, like the rookie Van Den Berg. The crap part is Jaylon feels he is in a contract year, Gordan is not reliable, so CB might also be high priority.

I would like Caleb to get a couple of series before regular season just to get real game feel. If not, in BJ we trust. I also want Bagent to look all-pro and make him a hot commodity. He has 2 years on contract and trading him after the season for a 2nd would be a huge power move.

Coby Bryant suffers knee injury - will miss 8-10 weeks
Come on now, Rome Odunze said he will be fine. Yes this sucks because we were excited to open up our new sports car once it was broken in, but back to the dealer it goes to get a new suspension.

Trapilo back sooner than expected
A defensive coach like the Flus wants a great punter. The Bears have things going right for the first time and having the HC/QB right makes it much easier to build going further.

Former Falcon Returner/WR - Ray Ray McCloud signed to replace WR Kyron Hudson who was waived. With Zavion out, they also need a body to take his ST reps

Trapilo back sooner than expected
They are a month late on this and all the local X writers took the bait thinking they broke a story. Trapilo will return but instead of missing the entore season asbexpected, he might return in November if ahead of schedule (9 month timeline)

Good video, he worked with Braxton in the offseason and it looks like the Bears were impressed enough to let him join the team for 3 days. He is now a huge fan and spoke very positively about how special this team is and how they are doing it the right way. We are no longer a team that looks at any NFL team, Chiefs/Rams, and think we will lose. These Bears will come prepared and have the skills to beat any team.

Benedict isnt even taking snaps at LT. This is down to Jones, Wills, and Armagadjie. Ive heard good reports on all 3. I know they are not all-pro players but we will get the best of the 3 to hold the position until Trapilo can compete. The best part is Thuney has pull on this.

I will say having Roushar and Ben Johnson here, the guys we have now will not be the same as if Eberflus was HC. The guys we have are capable. They may need extra coaching, help w chips, and schemes, but they will not be as awful as Justin Fields or 1st year CW running for their lives or on their back every snap.

Speaking of LT, Braxton tweaked his ankle twice in 1 on 1 drills facing Booker. He left practice early and Kiran replaced him. Also DB Owen's carted off field with lower body injury and DB Dallas Flowers left practice. DBs are getting dangerously thin.

It is not really a good thing, but since the guy we decided on last season was more a RT and is out for at least half the season and we are now leaning on a guy we were letting walk in FA because he couldn't hold a block against the bull rush, I want one of the 3 guys we have in camp to excel. Having them fight for their livelihood will bring the best one forward. As of today, Kiran is looking like the odd man out. All I am asking is for the Bears to test him again to see if he responds because they are not keeping him on the 53 if he doesn't. I don't enjoy throwing away expensive things I've invested in without trying to fix it with multiple angles of pursuit. If I was wealthy, then save me my time and worries and scrap it, but I am not. Two positions the Bears have not drafted and developed into greats for 40 some years is LT and DE. Two positions that need deep draft evaluations every year and to use the pick if a guy is there until you have a great.

I like having multiple LT guys who can step in. They been giving Jones more time with the 1s, so they are telling who is leading. I would like to see them give Kiran another day. He needs work and confidence, never really had much of a shot being hurt all these years, so would love to find value in his draft capital spent. Whether we can trade him or move him inside as a backup.

I was feeling better about the news since Dr Odunze said he would be okay, but 8 weeks or so is gonna hurt. No wonder why Kyler is watching from the sidelines.

The Bears may not have an elite LT, but the guys they have won"t hold them back. 3 guys now fighting to win and Ozzy coming back to possibly take his seat back will keep all of them on their toes knowing they can easily be replaced. The competition should keep the position solid.

They will rotate them since it is an open competition for the job. Id think a week or two after they go full pads they will narrow it down.

I am guessing something personal and he will be back once it is taken care of. If it was injury we would know, if he abandoned team he would get placed on a reserve, if he was granted personal time it would be kept personal and wed be left wondering.

Also might not shed tackles like before. A lot of hype to get excited about. I feel giddy about the way this offense is built. Questions about LT? They have layers of players to compete that have experience, traits and they will be fine. They will rotate them early, so what we see now is them getting a taste. This video even mentions how Kiran looked decent, so there is hope for him as well. Fantasy season, man I would love to have Caleb, Loveland, and Burden. Those 3 will dismantle the league and then you have Rome, Swift, Monangai, and Kmet. Can't take Zavion, Jahdae, or Raymond lightly either. The only thing that will hold them back is mental mistakes. With an offense with this potential, the defense can play a different game that can turn that unit around. They can take more risks attacking and DA is great at disguising his pressures to confuse the QB and oline.

Exactly, and nopads, no contact, so no pass rush either. It cracks me up reading X comments and everyone is bashing Poles about no defense. No praise for Caleb or the O. The Bears finally have a QB, HC, and offensive playmakers to be one of the best offensive team for years. Lets enjoy this leg of the rebuild. The defensive front will get a make over next season when it can free up a lot of cap and re-invest high picks.

Usually it is the defense that is way ahead and that goes for all nfl teams. It shows to me that their offseason workouts w Caleb is paying off. They know what to do and are in rhythm

Did We Dodge a Bullet?
Possibly, it depends how the guys they have now look being healthier and having a year under their belt in the scheme. Dexter, I think, said it took them a while to understand their assignments and going into camp this year they will now know. This helps DA having them know the scheme and having more healthy players to add wrinkles. DA was kind of handcuffed getting so many new starters up to speed, like nearly the whole back 7. At least next week we will get the camp updates.

You are correct, I forgot he came back for playoffs. He didnt or couldnt participate in OTA and mini camps, so he needs to pass the physical. After the Bears doctors evaluate him at camp, he could be removed.

Did We Dodge a Bullet?
I would say so. As much as we would love to add young talent to the D now, this last draft just didn't have the quantity of quality players that fit the Bears profile. I think this next draft will and the Bears will have to make do with what they have until then and its okay. Sometimes it is better to wait to get the best talent instead of throwing darts at the wrong guys. It worked for QB and I think the Bears see the next draft is better fotting for dline

I guess it is because he ended the season on IR and once he reports to camp, the Bears doctors have to clear him. He could be on the practice field Tuesday if given the green light. We will find out soon.
