  1. That was a such an IGNORANT penalty by Kreutz. There was no need.
  2. Hester...I'm so happy to have him back. If we take one great thing from this season, it's that Hester still has the return ability. Largely because of him, the Bears have started 5 of the last 6 drives in the opponent's territory. Awesome. That is a HUGE weapon.
  3. Tough to say who's fault it was, however. Unfortunately, the OL (which has been better than their normal atrociousness) didn't give Cutler enough time to throw, and the rushed pass will always give us doubts.
  4. The last throw by Cutler...pretty clear that Manumaleuna ran the wrong route. Two TEs in almost the same area.
  5. My god...I HATE this offensive line. We get a huge return from Hester, and these bums can't block anyone. 3rd and long, like usual.
  6. It sure would be nice to see this cover-2 defense to get some consistent pressure one of these years.
  7. Tipped pass by Izzy. Moore stepped in front of the short out pattern. The dude always seems to be near the ball. He needs to see more playing time.
  8. I HATE that call by Martz. A draw play with 16 seconds left? The Bears need yards at a minimal cost on the clock.
  9. HESTER!!!! Great read and quick throw by Cutler.
  10. What was the penalty?! I stepped away for one second and missed it.
  11. I meant that I didn't see the Aroma whiff...but I completely disagree with the notion that the OL opened a good hole on any Forte run thus far. The only play I can think of in which he got to the second level was a direct result of a broken tackle. Aroma may have whiffed, but I didn't notice it because I was surprised Forte got through.
  12. I didn't see that. I didn't see a single play thus far in which Forte could have had a huge run. There has been a SINGLE good running lane opened by the OL, and that was in the first quarter for Taylor.
  13. I want more blocking...either would do fine with some of that.
  14. When did John Madden learn to impersonate Daryl Johnston's voice? That's the only explanation of how he's blowing Farv on air.
  15. Yes, a good defensive play, AND the fact that Knox ran a poor route. I was going to say that he looked like he wanted the ball to come to him, rather than meeting it half way. Johnston beat me to it. EDIT: At least he didn't blatantly quit on it, like he did in previous weeks.
  16. Great, now Hester can't stand up on the field.
  17. Step 1: Deliver one good high shot to Harvin, and he's gone. Step 2: Drop the hammer on Berrian, and he'll quit. Step 3: Stack the box. Step 4: Win.
  18. I can say that if the Bears pick a first round WR, I'll be absolutely sick to my stomach. I still can't fathom it, and I can't believe any of you guys actually think it would be a good idea.
  19. Personally, I just think that the Bears will simply benefit more from a good-great OT or OG than they will a great-stud WR.
  20. Um...Are you sure you're not confused? His brother, Maurkice, was a first round draft pick last year. This year, Maurice, is a highly regarded OL prospect, and some consider him one of the best, if not THE best, Center prospect in the draft. I happen to think he was better at OG. The reason he moved to DL was because a bunch of guys got injured, not because he sucked. Dude is a beast, and will be good or great in the pros at either OG or C.
  21. I mean, it seems like common sense to me. Wanna know why Cleveland is suddenly looking good, and Peyton Friggin Hillis looks like a stud? Joe Thomas - 1st round Eric Steinbach - 2nd round Alex Mack - 1st round Floyd Womack - Originally drafted 4th round, solild veteran John St. Claire - Remember him? Originally drafted 3rd round, solid veteran And I bet if the stats are out there, the Browns run towards the Thomas/Steinbach side more than they do the other side.
  22. All that jazz and it doesn't relate to quantifiable wins necessarily. Lovie's system is meant to allow the opponent to score; it's a built in flaw of the system. Granted, it may do the "bend but don't break"-thing, but it's a weak, passive defense. The turnovers are fortunate, but they can't be relied up. I'd rather not have a defensive strategy that hopes the opponent screws up. I'd rather FORCE them to screw up. As for the DL, I think they've played average at best. The pressure is inconsistent at best, and there are nearly no sacks. List THAT stat. And I don't even want to go into the details of why every single blitz from the Bears seems to be sniffed out and stopped. And that's ignoring all the points brought up in the posts above. I understand your point of view, but I don't think the two things are mutually exclusive. I think the Bears are winning in spite of Lovie AND Angelo.
