  1. with the amount of cap space and the number of players already locked up, I dont see any reason not to overpay a bit for him if he is able to make this line a whole lot better. A very good OL can make even average players look good.

I would like to see Faneca signed and then go after Ken Hamlin from Dallas. Maybe then resign Berrian if possible.

  2. I see him going in the 4th or before, if he drops to the 6th round it would be a huge pick-up. For the life of me I don't know how he didn't win Big 12 Def. Player of the year....a lot of pissed off people here in boulder when that news came out. I believe he led the NCAA in tackles this year....

Yea, as a Neb fan, I will say Dizon is a beast. I would love to pick him up.

  3. An interesting list from NFL Draft Guys:

    2008 NFL Combine All-Snubbed Team

    by Josh Buchanan

Below is a 26 man team on offense and defense and special teams that will not be attending the 2008 NFL Combine.

    OFFENSE

    WR Ed Williams, Lane College

    WR Bruce Hocker, Duquesne

    TE Tyson DeVree, Colorado

OT Thaddeus Coleman, Mississippi Valley State

    OT Carlton Medder, Florida

    OG Kerry Brown, Appalachian State

    OG Shannon Tevaga, UCLA

    C Fernando Velasco, Georgia

    QB Mark Nicolet, Hillsdale

    RB Keon Lattimore, Maryland

    FB Brandon McAnderson, Kansas

    DEFENSE

    DE Brian Johnston, Gardner-Webb

    DE Rob Jackson, Kansas State

    DT Keilen Dykes, West Virginia

    OLB Anthony Hoke, Cincinnati

    OLB Bo Ruud, Nebraska

    ILB Danny Lansanah, UCONN

    CB Roy Lewis, Washington

    CB Al Phillips, Wagner

    FS Joe Fields, Syracuse

    SPECIAL TEAMS

    K Brandon Coutu, Georgia

    P Brett Kern, Toledo

    RS Jayson Foster, Georgia Southern

    LS Garrison Sanborn, Florida State

As a Husker fan and season ticket holder Bo Ruud is not even as close to as good as his big brother. Poor technique, poor instincts

  4.

    from that...

    Armed and ready

Of course, the Bears are somewhat desperate for help at quarterback, so their interest in Flacco is no shock. But Flacco isn't the only signal-caller wide-eyed about the possibility of playing for the Bears. Both Hawaii's Colt Brennan and Kentucky's Andre Woodson, on the South team, beamed when talking about Chicago.

I'll puke if either are drafted by the Bears.

  5. I didn't see any highlights, I watched him play against DSU in the playoffs. I watched specifically to see what he could do. His slow release was the first thing I noticed and my sons both agreed with me. Once he starts to throw it takes a long time to get rid of the ball. A little You Tube clip in which everyone appears to run a 4.3 forty isn't enough to change my mind. The guy has enough talent to get drafted I'm just not sure he's the right guy for us but I'll watch what he does leading up to the draft.

to each his own cause I dont see what your seeing.

  6. I also read that Brennan has been pretty bad.

Not surprising at all to me.

The most noticeable position affected is quarterback. Michigan's Chad Henne was sensational Monday and stands to benefit greatly because of his overall passing efficiency. Kentucky's Andre Woodson showcased his rifle of an arm but understandably struggled with his timing during the first day of practice. Otherwise, there wasn't much positive to say about the performances turned in by Colt Brennan (Hawaii), John David Booty (USC), Joe Flacco (Delaware) and Erik Ainge (Tennessee). Brennan had toughest first day. His erratic passing performance in practice was preceded by him tipping the scale at a measly 185 pounds during the morning's weigh-in.

It's ESPN insider for those that have it...

  7. I'll puke if JA takes Woodson with the first pick. My only options there are

    Kenny Phillips

    Ryan Clady

    Jeff Otah

    Johnathan Stewart

    Felix Jones

And I'd only think about taking one of the RBs if the OL is addressed in FA.

  8. You can go back to the old boards. I was always on the side of Crowton.

I said that he hurt the team at times by wearing out the defense, but he was also the only offensively minded coach we have had in the past 20 years. To be honest, I never really had a problem, even back then, with a majority passing offense, a "non-Bears" offense. Also, the only difference between the pathetic offenses that we've seen fairly recently and Crowton's offenses is that while both wore out the Bears' defense by putting them back on the field more frequently, at least Crowton's did it with scoring.

what? He was the OC. not the coach.
