  1. i was told that we should put all college football talk in here.
  2. Ohio State Michigan Purdue Penn State Iowa Michigan State Wisconsin Minnesota Illinois Northwestern Indiana this is my bold prediction and i think they really have a chance to do this. what are everyone else's predictions for this conference or any conference?
  3. we are at 17 in the rankings. are you kidding me? they have teams like the falcons infront of us.
  4. that should make it a little bit easier to deal TJ
  5. I say Berrian will be the X factor
  6. all we need to do is get larry wigham or whatever his name is back and we have the # 1 unit in the league!
  7. I know this isent really a time to think about this but, i wonder who the next coach will be?
  8. when I heard that the bears signed one of their lb's to an extension I got excited....
  9. thats a good point. I don't think there will be to many teams knocking on Tj's door, to be a starter anyway. He is better off just trying to battle with Benson and earn himself the bulk of the carries
  10. I dont see why there is all this hype about Currie, he was only what a 5th round draft pick?
  11. i'm suprised how Jones didn't learn anything from Benson last year with the holdout and all
  12. he would probably be better then peanut
  13. thats great that we are getting all of the defense under big contracts for the future
  14. before Jones came to chi-town he was considered a bust. it took one of the NFL's top O-lines to get his yards. look back at the taps, he has no brake away speed, he hardly breaks a tackle, if ever. I was watching some of his runs on video's and he could not hit a second gear to take it to the house when he had open lanes. I like TJ don't get me wrong but lets call a spade a spade. He's a solid back but he will back up Benson this year or next( if he is still here). watch the runs again and you can see the difference. someone posted highlight videos of each and every time someone came close to TJ he went out of bounds or down... or was caught from behind. just saying if you cant hit that second gear I would rather you have the power to run over ppl... Jones cant do that. Benson can... and has close to the same speed.
  15. i've been seeing all this LB/TJ stuff but no news on double H. any news on his status?
  16. im sensing a little sarcasm... all im saying is that i have seen it in multiple bears message boards so your right idk if its true or not but since more then just 1 board had it, i was assuming it was true. But your right
  17. I have and always will be a big TJ Fan, but this is a bad decision. It is simple, TJ needs to be at camp. It is O.K. for him to ask to be traded and be frustrated with the Benson situation, but he needs to be at camp with his team. He signed his contract 2 years ago and was happy with it. Play it out. He needs to be there beating Benson out of the position in front all his team mates. That way the pressure is on management, not him. It is a long season and Benson does not even come close to doing all the little things TJ can do. If he is the best player on the field, and I know he is, it will show in camp. He only hurts himself just like Benson did last year by not being there. This is the NFL and no matter where he goes he will have to compete every year. I am not turning on TJ, I am still one of his biggest fans and I do not know the whole situation. As for all the people on this board who have always hated on TJ, you may get your man Benson. By the way Benson's rookie stats are much worse than TJ's rookie stats and TJ was at Arizona. For those that are happy to get rid of TJ, you will be losing the offensive MVP for the past 2 years, and a leader on the team for an unproven rookie bust who has not even completed 1 game in the NFL. Benson could not even beat out a so-called average running back. Good Luck!
  18. OK, everyone writes and says too much about quarterback play. It happens every season. But in the end, just like last season's playoffs, quarterbacks tend to deliver a championship. Ben Roethlisberger saved his worst postseason performance for the Super Bowl, but the Pittsburgh Steelers never would have added a fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy to their display case without Big Ben's stellar play in wins over Indianapolis and Denver. Three teams helped themselves greatly this off-season with quarterback acquisitions; New Orleans, Miami and Chicago all made significant deals with veteran quarterbacks. Brian Griese will help the Bears, no matter what his role will be. (Eliot J. Schechter / Getty Images) The Bears signed journeyman Brian Griese, thus giving the NFC North champions a tremendous security blanket should Rex Grossman end another season on the injury list. Just the presence of Griese guarantees that the Bears will be a heavy favorite to repeat as champs.
