  1. It's the worst thing as a fan, but losing these games probably gives them a better chance at winning the super bowl in the future. We get a better pick and an increase in the likelihood that at least one of Cutler, Trestman, and Emery will be gone.
  2. Top 5 pick is out of the question at this point, but they could get into the top 10 if they lose out.
  3. This game only validated the Bears decision to fire Lovie in the first place. What a pud he is. Good to see he still sucks at challenges.
  4. Yeah I noticed that. Strange. Zimmer was an idiot for playing man coverage against the Bears WR's. And for whatever reason, Bridgewater couldn't throw the ball down the field past 5 yards.
  5. The Bears have successfully beaten probably only 2 of about 4 teams in the league that are worse than they are.
  6. The Bears might be the best team in NFL history winning games they need to lose.
  7. I never liked his offense when he was available. I was a Mike McCoy guy (who I think still would have been an outstanding hire). Arians has that Mike Martz mentality where he constantly attacks down the field vertically, unlike the West Coast offense we are running now. He also got Andrew Luck and Ben Roethlisberger killed for running that system. I didn't think his offense was the right fit for Cutler, but despite all that, he was the reigning head coach of the year. He's obviously been doing something right.
  8. TEN, STL, HOU, and the NYJ's are teams I think could show interest in Cutler. Maybe more. If the Jets don't get Winston or Mariota, they might be desperate to find a stop gap for a couple of years.
  9. That Bruce Arians is something isn't he?
  10. The Falcons are actually in 1st place.
  11. Unless Adrian Peterson returns, I don't see how the Vikings win another game this year. This is the worst team I have seen all year next to Jacksonville.
  12. Yep. Minnesota looks like the worst offense in football. Bridewater either can't throw it downfield or they are actively avoiding it as a gameplan. Bears D not getting tested at all. Everything is dink and dunk. Trestman still gave us hope for a tank win today, though. His god awful coaching cost this team at least 3 points and probably more if you count some of the pre-snap penalties, which is a reflection upon coaching as well.
  13. Trestman is such a freakin idiot. So god damn conservative in 2 min situations.
  14. They need to test him out at LT before the end of the season. He's too athletic to waste him at guard.
  15. Maybe he can get in the fight so the Bears can void that contract. Good lord what a joke. I would gladly trade Marshall for somebody like Johnny Manziel if the Browns were serious about dealing him. They probably would rather have a 1st rounder but Marshall wouldn't be a bad pairing with Josh Gordon. Would give them some firepower for Brian Hoyer. Just a thought. Marshall can no longer continue to be a Chicago Bear at this point. It's gotten so bad that even his production on the field doesn't outweigh the distractions anymore. His teammates think he's a clown. He's a total narcissistic piece of crap. I hate to say it, because I've enjoyed having him up until this point, but there's a reason he's on his 3rd team.
  16. Be interesting to see how the team comes out in its first drive. If the Vikings score a TD and the Bears go 3 and out, we might be in for a long day. Hate to say it, but I hope we see another pathetic performance. The more bad losses, the worse it gets for Trestman.
  17. This. We should be done catering to Cutler. Instead of catering to the problem, we should probably address it. This guy is a coach killer, plain and simple.
  18. The Bears hired: -A Canadian head football coach -The defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars -The special teams coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys What possibly could have gone wrong?
  19. They need to hire a football czar, but keep in mind Bill Parcells and guys like Mike Holmgren failed miserably in that role for the Dolphins and Browns respectively. Bill Polian is 71 and I think he's starting to go a little senile if you listen to him on ESPN sometimes. They gotta find someone, I'm just not sure who it is.
  20. No coaching changes, no nothing. What a joke of an organization.
  21. Trestman is not a head coach and he's not a coordinator. Nice guy, just doesn't belong in the NFL. I do feel bad for him, unlike Lovie, who I had zero sympathy for. You hate to see coaches get fired, but his fate has been sealed. The real question now is whether Emery's job is safe? Never thought that was possible this year before now. There's some chatter about this being a clean house after the year. Ownership is not happy.
  22. I agree with everything except the last point. It wouldn't make any sense to get rid of Cutler and keep Trestman. The locker room has already been lost. Once that happens, once you see players quitting, there is no getting it back. Trestman HAS to go if you want to salvage next season. Nice guy, but not a good coach. The Bears are probably going to have to keep Cutler around for one more year, hire a HC on the condition that a high pick will be spent on a QB who will have the opportunity to start right out of the gate. I would love it if they just ate all the money and got rid of him. That would be the best thing possible. I just don't think it's likely.
