Lamar Houston question

Featured Replies

I have seen a bunch of guy comment that he is a DT or can play DT. I thought he was a DE. I thought he was signed to play DE.

Is he a DT or DE?????

DE, but I can see him moving inside on 3rd down /passing situations.

is 300 pounds sounds like a defensive tackle to me

He stated he played last year at 285 not the listed 300 OAK had he at.

Aaron Donald = 285lbs. Houston is not in the same league as Donald athletically but there is no reason to think he can't slide inside on 3rd and long, or play DE in a 3-4 alignment if we go that route at times.

Emery has said he wants Willie Young and Lamar Houston on the field at the same time, which leads you to believe that makes Houston the DT along with Ratliff and Willie Young on the opposite end of Jared Allen. Houston can be a dominant DT. You want the best 5 guys out there as often as possible.

I think it's Houston ' s time to shine. I'd get the best DT available in 3rd or trade back into 2nd
