September 25, 201411 yr comment_138388 We went out and got this guy pretty quickly after he got cut and he's been coached by Reggie Herring before. Must be something there we really like. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0924-story.html I checked around some draft profiles. From a physical and athletic standpoint he's not a diamond in the rough like Christian Jones may become but he sounds as if he's pretty quick for a LB but on the smaller side. He's been around long enough that we want him for special teams now or as a backup player moving forward (as in next year) or both. I suppose this could be related to Shea breaking his hand but there has been nothing out there indicating that is a long term issue so I don't think so. Report
September 25, 201411 yr comment_138394 Was reading on rotoworld that his injury was season ending...Haven't got any clarification on this but you'd have to think it's false. Report
September 25, 201411 yr comment_138399 Whose injury was season ending? Shaptons. Redskins placed ILB Darryl Sharpton on injured reserve, ending his season. He suffered a high ankle sprain in preseason. Aug 30 - 10:22 AM http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5893/darryl-sharpton I'm guessing they just didn't wanna place him on the partial season IR or whatever it's called? Bears signed him to a 1 year contract, and a high ankle sprain that happened a month ago doesn't seem like something that would be season ending. Report
