Our wins and losses

Featured Replies

Interesting to note that the Bears have 9 losses, with 7 coming against playoff teams, and 6 with teams projected to have 10 or more wins. We did not lose to a single non-playoff team in regulation (losing to DET and SF in OT). 6 of our losses were within one score or less (8 pts).

Of our 6 wins, only one was by more than 5 pts (scary). So just as easily as we could've been 12-3, we could've been 1-14.

It is nice to know our schedule will be heavily in our favor next season: Schedule

That's interesting information. It shows this team has overachieved for sure. The likely source is much better coaching and a great rookie infusion. If White pans out, that's a pretty great draft class. Back to your post, I think it points to the Bears being a "surprise" team next year, especially when paired with next year's lighter schedule. And we'll be able to look on at the prognosticators and say, "How did you not see it?"

Yeah, this team in its current construct will easily go 8-8 to 9-7 with that schedule, so if we can continue to improve and fill holes, 10-11 wins is not out of the question.
