Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo recently met with Central Florida RB Kevin Smith.

Projected 4th rounder

If that is true, projected in the 4th, it means Angelo will consider him in the 3rd? Seems to be his M.O.

According to CSN, JA met with Mendy the other day and the meeting turned into a 7 hour one, with Mendy "bouncing off the walls with excitement" after he left, according to his agent, so this might be a precursor to what happens on April 26.

However, I still think we go Williams in the 1st. If we miss out on Forte, I can definitley see us getting Smith in the 3rd or 4th.

A 7hr meeting with Mendenhall during one of the busiest times of the year (predraft)? To go over what? This just seems like a huge smoke screen to me.

He was asking him to take it easy on us when we play detroit.

They went over film to see how he'd fit in our system, supposedly.

With all the 3 and outs our offense had I don't think you can put together 7 hrs of film from last year.
