Bears udpates on Labor Day Monday ...

 

• It appears to be a fully healthy squad for the Bears. Tight end Desmond Clark and guard Terrence Metcalf are back in practice gear.

 

• The Bears signed WR Brandon Rideau and FB Jason Davis to the practice squad. The Bears still have one spot available.

 

• Kyle Orton and Olin Kreutz are offensive captains, with Mike Brown one of the defensive captains, likely with Brian Urlacher. We will know the entire list at the end of practice, including the captain of the special teams.

 

• Maybe Chris Simms is not an option for the Bears. The quarterback released by Tampa Bay is in talks with the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Carroll County Times.
