Strange but true!

It's strange but I think the football gods are with us this year. If you look around the NFL at teams we have to play strange things are going on with them.

1 Colts = Manning knee and was rusty from being hurt.

2. Panthers are without Smith for fighting.

3. Tampa Bay may start Greise against us because Garcia is hurt and having run ins with the coach.

4. Philly No real problems

5. Detroit has no defense

6. Atlanta has a new Rookie QB

7.Vikings Qb that can't make the important throws

8. Lions have no defense

9. Titians Vince is hurt and mom says he might not play football

10. Packers have a new QB

11. Rams No WR that can hurt you

12. Vikings Qb that can't make the important throws

13. Jaguars lost two O linemen in the first game

14.Saints Colston out for 4-6 weeks

15. Packers have a new QB

16. Texans still looking for a RB

If we keep playing like we did last weeek and stay healthy we are in the playoffs at least.

If the first game for Rodgers showed anything, I don't think he'll be a bad QB, so that's no argument there.

And, Colston is out 4-6 weeks from this week, so he'll be back in week 6-8.

1 Colts = Manning knee and was rusty from being hurt.

That was good luck w/o question.

2. Panthers are without Smith for fighting.

No repeate of the playoff game is a great thing. Also, chance to knock Moose out.

3. Tampa Bay may start Greise against us because Garcia is hurt and having run ins with the coach.

Bye bye downfield worries.

4. Philly No real problems

They looked awesome, but it was against StL

5. Detroit has no defense

Offense wasn't impressive either until garbage time.

6. Atlanta has a new Rookie QB

Run game did look awesome, but stop that and you stop Atlanta.

7.Vikings Qb that can't make the important throws

Important throws? How about just saying he can't throw.

8. Lions have no defense

Might now have a win either.

9. Titians Vince is hurt and mom says he might not play football

Injury is minor, and he could be back. I hope so, as I think Collins is better. That D looked awesome though.

10. Packers have a new QB

Not sure the new QB is a good thing. He may not be Favre, but looked pretty good.

11. Rams No WR that can hurt you

And maybe the worse D in the league. They really looked bad.

12. Vikings Qb that can't make the important throws

Lets just say no QB.

13. Jaguars lost two O linemen in the first game

They should have healthy WRs by this point, but wow did that team look bad in weak one, both on offense and defense.

14.Saints Colston out for 4-6 weeks

He will be back, and this team looked VERY good.

15. Packers have a new QB

See above.

16. Texans still looking for a RB

And an OL.

No question we looked better than expected. And I also agree that several teams really stumbled out of the gate. I would say a few teams did better than expected too though, so it may wash. GB, Tenn, Phily and NO all looked very solid, and I would say better than expected. At the same time, a few teams like Stl, Jax and Det looked worse than expected.

Getting Manning in game one, and Carolina minus Smith are two huge breaks. We capatolized on one. Now we need to do it again.

Regardless of any of the above, i always thought Philly would be our biggest game. they are still solid and dont have many holes. We will have a tuff time but at least we are at home this year.

I don't think the Packers miss a beat this year unless they have injuries. Aaron Rodgers looked like a top tier quarterback from what I saw Monday night. He even looked a little Farve-esque with that TD pass to that one guy at the goal line. But since Lovie has been here we've pretty much owned the Packers, and I expect the same this year!

Philly, Jacksonville, Tennessee, New Orleans, both Green Bay games, and both Minnesota games are the games that are going to give us the most trouble this year, IMO. Texans are no push over either. However, we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs.

True, but don't forget that Detroit was bad last year, and they smacked it to us not once but twice.

We lost to the Lions by turn overs..otherwise they didn't do anthing special. And this year their team is not as good as it was last year IMHO. But Philly, the Titans, Jacksonville,The Saints, both games with the Packers and Vikings can be won by the Bears with our defense and who they have to stop. With Philly it's pressure McNaab and limit Westbrook. With the Jaguars its the same pressure the Qb and stop the run game. The titans are the same, but if Young is out then you have to limit their ground game, The WR aren't that special. Packers WR we need to stop and Peterson for the Vikes. Bush and Brees for the Saints. We can do it too with the way the defense is playing. I hope they contuine to do so.
