March 5, 201016 yr comment_78535 This doesn't neccesarily mean Olsen is gone. I highly doubt the Bears just give him up for a 2nd round pick. Unless he's in a trade for Brandon Marshall I don't see why we would trade him. He will still be a TE but probably line up more as a WR in Martz's offense. Report

March 5, 201016 yr comment_78542 The real question, IMO, is whether you are willing to give up on Olsen because of a Martz offense that might not be in effect after this year. Report
March 5, 201016 yr comment_78546 This is a great move. He's a very good blocking TE that will help us in red-zone two TE sets. He also gives the Bears the flexibility to at least consider a deal involving Olsen. Report
March 5, 201016 yr comment_78551 Key problem w/ Boldin is, you are going to have to pay him. The whole reason he is on the block is due to making life hell for the Cards over his contract. Any team that trades for him as to be willing to pay him, and he wants to be among the top paid WRs in the game. I seriously doubt that after signing Peppers, as well as any other FAs we add, we would have the money to sign Boldin to a new deal. Package Olsen for Boldin if youre gonna trade him. Arizona is one of the teams wanting Olsen. Report
March 5, 201016 yr comment_78556 I thought Boldin could be had for a 3rd round pick? If that's the case wouldn't you rather give them a 3rd rounder as opposed to offering Olsen for Boldin straight up? Also something else people don't consider. Cutler and Olsen are supposedly best buds, how pissed off would Cutler be if the Bears traded him away? And how does that affect any decision making of the Bears front office in regards to dealing Olsen? Report
