This isn't a very strong CB FA class and it's always pretty difficult for us as fans to pick a CB to sign because it's up in the air as to which CBs fit into the cover-2.

 

I could see the FO signing a WR though. Mike Sims-Walker? Steve Smith (NYG)? Jacoby Jones? Vincent Jackson? James Jones?

 

If there is such a thing as a free agency period next year...given that the Bears D is relying on a number of "win now before they're gone" type vets, the Bears would be silly to not try to address some of those positions through FA this year.

 

Point well taken. You think the Bears are going to keep spending? I suppose that with some of the unrestricted free agents leaving there might be a little budget space.

I don't know what the rules are going to be, but the Bears really ought to have the room to add someone this year, and they really ought to use it.
