Does anyone know what our cap space is for next year?

how much room is there to really go after free agents?

there will be some interesting players out there.

It's actually around 50 million from what I've read on Bears.com. Check out this from over there http://boards.chicagobears.com/forums/thread/2984048.aspx

Wow, that would be spectacular. I'm just going off what Sean Jensen tweeted a month or so ago. I think he said then it was going to be about $24.8m.

I think we can just assume that the franchise tag eats up what, $8 million of that on a RB.

Hahahah.

That's funny to me.

About $25 million, I've heard.

So which one is it, 50 or 25. There is a big differnce between those two numbers. I almost cant believe that it would 50.

There is a big jump in the salary cap this year for everyone, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's $50.

Here's one version from a week ago at a different message board where 50 was the number. No one really knows exactly what the full cap number will be, that makes doing the numbers a little hard.
