We still have have hope...not dead just yet

We can still make it to the playoffs just by a few things happening as listed below but we need to win these last two games!

Scenarios that would put Bears in playoffs with a 10-6 record:

*A Vikings loss and a Giants loss.

*A Vikings loss and two Seahawks losses.

*A Giants loss and two Seahawks losses.

*A Vikings loss and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out.

*Two Seahawks losses and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out.

There are scenarios in which the Bears could get in with a 9-7 record:

*Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Cowboys.

*Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Redskins.

*If the Vikings lose twice and the Cowboys finish second in the East after tiebreakers (there are numerous

The question is, do you really want them to? It's hard for me to say no, but at the same time, I want Lovie Smith gone for good. If we reach the playoffs, then he's probably back no matter how bad we look. Teams just don't fire coaches that make the postseason that often.

Basically our only tiebreaker is against Dallas?

I want the Bears to make the playoffs. Anything can happen. Giants' fans last year probably were hoping they'd get a higher pick and Coughlin would get fired too. Yes, I know NY has a better pass rush, better playmakers on offense, and a better coaching staff, but still.

But didn't th opposite happen with the NYG? They started slow and ended hot... Big positive momentum towards the end. We're doing just the opposite. Not that it's not possible. It's just not probable.

Actually, the Giants have the habit of starting fast, slumping in the middle of the season, being especially terrible in November, putting their backs against the wall, and then reeling off however many consecutive wins it takes to make the playoffs.

OK. But it's still an upward tick at the end... Opposite of our trend. (And beating the Cards and Lions isn't the same as what NY has done...) Even their loss to NE that first year showed serious game. Our losses are not so...

They are probably getting Jennings, Melton, Hayes, and Bennett back this week. McClellin might play next week. If they get in, Urlacher is back. They can get momentum by winning their last 2. With these guys getting healthy, anything is possible.
