21-0 in the first quarter! How 'bout a little help Cards?

  11. I personally feel we need a subforum in here to separate college football and the draft from the Bears. I don't know about others, but when I click on this forum, I look for Bears and NFL news, and I think separating the two would be beneficial. Thoughts?

The Bengals responded to the smashmouth conditions by feeding the ball to running back Cedric Benson 38 times for a career-high 171 yards. With 118 of those yards coming in the first half, it marked the first time since Dec. 11, 2005 against the Browns (when Rudi Johnson had 124 in Cincinnati) that the Bengals had a 100-yard rusher in the first half.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth/0-6-49...valuations.html Chicago Bears (9-7) The Bears took early control of the NFC North but missed a chance to create a deep cushion after giving up leads against Carolina, Tampa Bay and Atlanta. And yet even with those missed opportunities and a 1-3 stretch in late November, the Bears could have earned a wild-card berth had they won their season finale at Houston. That failure should jump-start a number of self-scouting exercises, especially to figure out why their defense slipped in nearly every area two years after leading the team to the Super Bowl. Grade: B- Biggest surprise: There was a general consensus that Matt Fo…

  15. 1. ted phillips - great bean counter and cap guru. accomplishments: great stadium deal if you are the owner and cheap help. all designed to keep money in owners pockets. 2. jerry angelo - cheap first time GM who is great as a cap guru and, as phillips right hand man, helps keep money in owners pockets. accomplishments: great cap management which helps put cash in owners pockets but after 7 years of drafts has nothing/nothing special to show for it on either side of the ball. hired the cheapest inexperienced coaches and staff possible and sees no need to change any of them after 2 pathetic back-to-back seasons of regressive mediocrity. won't rock the salary boat…

I have looked every where, has the NFL admitted fault with their banded substance list or is the case still pending. Because it would be a positive boost going into the season with them suspended and if so I hope we get them in the first 4 weeks any thoughts.

  17. Started by BearSox,

I never really thought they had much of a chance, but if San Diego made it to the Superbowl, we would have moved up a draft slot. Well, baring some miracle, the Steelers are thumping them right now and are gonna be in the AFC championship game. So, our official draft slota on the first day will be: -18th pick in round 1, 18th overall -17th pick in round 2, 49th overall The rest of our picks now are pretty much contingent on how Arizona does next week, and where all the comp picks go to.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,102718.story No safety to be had in St. Louis By Vaughn McClure February 19, 2009 If the Bears were hoping to find Mike Brown's replacement in St. Louis, they better start looking elsewhere. The Rams slapped the franchise tag on free safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, as reported by the NFL Network. Atogwe would have been a top free-agent target, and the Rams had no other choice after not agreeing to a long-term deal with the defensive standout. Atogwe led the Rams with eight interceptions this season. The Bears' trio of Brown, Kevin Payne and Craig Steltz had seven combined. Other options might arise as fre…
