Going through the bad Rex performances last year, I was really mad. But if you put it in perspective, without his pass to Rashied down the seam in the playoff game vs Seattle, which eventually led to the game-winning FG by Robbie Gould, we wouldn't of even been in the Super Bowl. Without the way he controlled the game like a 10 year vet vs New Orleans, we wouldn't of even been in the Super Bowl.
Then in the Super Bowl, sure he played bad, and got most of the blame. Think of it this way: Thomas Jones had 74 yards (about) on 12 carries. On 1 carry, he got 51 yards. Maybe if he would of ran better, then game would of been differently. Or maybe that falls in the lap of the offensive line. Was TJ not finding holes, or did the o-line just not block? And Ced...he had 1 run, and on that play, he 1. fumbled and 2. got a concussion. What if he wouldn't have fumbled? Or is that he got a concussion, and TJ didn't get enough rest from there on out? Or the defense? Somebody should have said it was the biggest games of any of their lives to Urlacher and company, b/c they sure didn't show up.
It isn't all Rex's fault. He played good in 13-14 games, so hopefully this year he can turn that into 15-16 good games, and hopefully throw 25 TD's and less then 10 INT's.
