  1. everyone on Defense besides Tillman and Anderson were plain awful.

Dline is a joke - McClellin has gotta be the weakest NFL player

    Yeah, Jennings was awful.

DL was a joke yesterday or is a joke? Because there are 25 teams who would likely trade their DL for this one. Just because they had a poor game doesn't make them a joke.

To call out McClellin after a game where he had 4 tackles, 1 TFL and a sack makes you look foolish. If he does that every game, he ends the year with 64 tackles, 16 TFL and 16 sacks. Would that not be acceptable?

  2. It's an amazing shot. Really shows his "mean". Haven't had that on the line since Olin.

Anyone know when it occurred in the game?

It was after Cutler's scramble in the 4th quarter, when Burfict hit him late and somehow didn't get a penalty.

  3. I love Kyle Long. He had that push on the goal line that nearly got Forte in and was going crazy. He wanted to murder someone after Bennett's TD. And then this photo, which is after Cutler's scramble. BTW, he just tweeted it with some photoshop. Take a look.

  4. Wow is this a bunch of garbage

Amen. You guys are all so pathetic. This is evidence that Bears fans are the biggest meatheads in football. It makes me want to never come back to this site.

Cutler throws a pick? He sucks. A timeout's wasted? Fire Trestman. Marshall gets targeted? What else is new. They're losing at half? They're going to have a top 5 pick.

They just beat a good Cincinnati team and you would've thought they just lost to Jacksonville.

  5. Bostic's flashy plays this pre-season make it seem as though he's been playing so well while all the bad things get overlooked. He has a long ways to go. If Williams is healthy, he should be out there because he's probably the better player right now.

Have you ever seen Williams play? There's a reason he didn't get many calls in FA and signed for next to nothing.

  6. The Ravens secondary is awful. Playing a Raiders bust instead of the very talented Matt Elam is a mistake. This is a rebuild on the fly; why not play a guy who has drawn comparisons to Ed Reed?

Manning may be the greatest ever. If he gets another ring, I'd say that it assures it.

I do disagree that the Ravens were lucky that year. Winning a ring takes luck, whether it's the Ravens last year or NYG sneaking in and somehow beating the 18-0 Patriots. The Colts were lucky to beat the Bears. Benson hurt himself, the D started missing tackles and the playcalling was horrendous.

  7. Wooten is the better player. McClellin gets abused in the run game and has pretty much zero counter moves to shed off blockers.

Both will see a lot of reps. Plus, Wooten is capable of moving to DT when the Bears bring out their rush, nickel package, which will allow McClellin, Peppers, and Wooten to all be on the field at the same time. Personally, I'd love to see McClellin get more reps at OLB as the season goes on. However, that doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

Agree again. Wootton is the superior player but McClellin will get a lot of snaps. Personally, I believe in both.

  8. If Trestman is as smart as he appears to be, I think he will try to exploit Cincinnati's LB'ers in pass coverage, where they are horrible. The zone read, play action pass would shred their defense because their Lb'ers are built to play downhill, they are not quick enough to get back in pass coverage. A combination of the zone reads and quick passes should help negate Cinci's biggest strength on defense. The pass rush won't have time to get to the quarterback, and the Linebackers won't be able to play in the box, where they are most comfortable.

Exactly. Maualuga is awful. Harrison's never played in a scheme like Cincinnati's. Burfict is a good player but his pass defense is nothing to write home about.

Another guy that they can exploit is George Iloka. He's going to start at SS and was a 5th round pick in 2012. His inexperience can hurt the Bengals tomorrow.

  9. I'm not 100% sold on Emery quite yet. He talks a great game, and I mean that with respect. He really sounds like he has a clue.

But, his draft last year is up in the year while this one seems like it could be a franchise changing draft, at least right now.

    -McClellin is shakey.

    -Jeffery looks decent.

    -Hardin stunk.

-Rodriguez was awful and was cut by 2 teams already.

    -Frey looks OK.

-McCoy was cut in August last year.

Although, I do like what has done in FA. I was skeptical of the Bushrod move, not because I thought he stunk but because I thought Brees made him into what he is, but so far Bushrod has shown a bunch of talent. The Slauson move has gone under the radar as well.

Also, I like how he's making no promises to no players and they all have to play their absolute best to get paid. It's a good problem to have. If Wootton, Cutler, Conte, Wright, Jennings, Slauson, and Melton are all studs this year, then that probably means you win a bunch of games and have a shot to win a ring.

In the very least, this team will be HE AND TRESTMAN'S team next year. They will obviously have players left over from the Angelo/Lovie era, but a lot of them will be FA's that are brought back, meaning they liked them enough to be THEIR guys.

  10. He does make a difference, but I think with his age and health (foot) his days are numbered. It will come down to Cutler or Peppers and while im at it, Melton too.

There are a bunch of guys who they'll need to keep. Conte, Wright, Jennings, Slauson, Wootton and more are players who could all have big seasons who may need to be retained.

  11. The only good idea I have for you is to invite me to your tailgate party the next time I make it to Chicago for a game. I don't know how to cook but I do know how to drink and I promise to bring a bottle of Crown Royal Reserve which is what we toasted with prior to heading to the stadium last October (Seattle game).

    Seattle? October?

  12. Webb wasn't liked by the team.

    Bushrod is.

    Webb stinks.

    Bushrod doesn't.

Webb graded out the same as Bushrod did.

It turns out that maybe Brees didn't make Bushrod.

Bushrod has played well albeit in preseason games.

    Webb hasn't.

The only reason Minnesota claimed Webb is to assist in preparing for week 2.

    Move on.
