I wouldn't take Collins in round 4. If Nassib is there, pick him.
-
Josh Boyce to New England.. Ugh.. The receivers are dropping like flies.
Williams, Stills, Collins, and Patten are still there, but I'd wait until round 5 for a small, fast one. Go BPA here.
-
Honey Badger off the board.. Damn it. Peterson and Mathieu back together again. It will be interesting to see which guy takes over return duties. I'm assuming it'll be Mathieu.
I have no clue why Arizona would take the best PR/KR in the league off of that, but we'll see.

I'm really impressed by the tape of Da'Rick Rodgers. He could learn a lot from Marshall. Maybe former SEC will be good enough . . .
Also think we'll trade down at least once today and come away with a QB, WR, DT, and CB.
I'm glad you mentioned him as I forgot to say something. I mentioned him a few days ago and mentioned how talented he is. If he was still at Tennessee, he'd be a round 2 pick.
Me personally I would love to see Williams-Simon-Toiolo as our final 3 picks. I kinda doubt it shakes down that way though. I wouldn't be shocked, based on visits and such, if Simon is our pick in the 4th.Pass on getting a QB and just grab David Garrard or Tim Tebow .
Stop. Jesse Williams is horrible and Tebow + Garrard suck.

Barkley, Schwenke, Jones, Wilson, Nassib, Poyer, or Webb would all be outstanding.
Remember though, Emery said last night that he has a preference for the SEC. Does this mean Jones, Bray, or Wilson will be the pick?
-
Tons of teams are passing on Brown. There might be a reason for that. Durability has always been an issue for him.
-
Bostic is a good pick.
-
I wouldn't mind Barkley if he's still on the board.
-
Long, Te'o, and Jones would not be horrible.
-
My big board:
1) Brown
2) Banks
3) Taylor
4) Ertz
5) Allen

That is three immediate starters. We take a guy who is likely to be inactive most of the season. And he was drafted before any of Minny's 3 immediate starters.
This is the 2nd year in a row we have reached on a "project" type player in the first round. Emery said you want to draft starters in rounds 1 and 2, but nobody ever thought McClellin would start.
Raise your hand if you think Long is a starter this year?
WR's typically have rough years in their first season. Consider how bad Christian Ponder is and how dumb Patterson is, and I doubt Patterson helps them immediately. I do love their pick of Sharrif Floyd though. Rhodes is going to be solid down the road as well.

Had some time to think on the way home and I feel a little better about it. Perhaps I'm forcing myself to but I did come up with some logic behind it.
The way I'm taking it is the Bears didn't think as highly on Gabe Carimi as I thought they did, or as I do. I also remembered the whole Kromer works the line from the inside out so he needs a good OG tandem. That said if you look at who is left after Long at OG the list pretty much only goes 1 deep with Warford with Dallas Thomas as an honorable mention. Those guys very easily could be gone at #50 and then we're left with some guy named Matt Summers-Gavin as NFL.coms top rated OG.
Alvin Bailey and Hugh Thornton are guys who I like in rounds 4-6 that could play in a year or two as well.

They needed OL and got one. It's nice to see them trying to build it up with Slauson, Bushrod and now Long. I just think that he's extremely raw and if they trade back a few spots, they get him there + a 3rd or a 4th.
-
They talked about it on NFL network, That his character concerns arouse after his work out.
Dude he's had a few DUI's. The hotel had nothing to do with Ogletree.
-
Emery says "we're open to trading but only if Kyle was gone." It sounds like they were sold on him all the way.
-
well its pretty obvious that ogletree was the culprit that destroyed that hotel room, They said on NFL network that his character was in question. Teo its obvious what his problems was, So lets go0 to next greatest need, DT I dont undertstand this pick. Floyd should have been obvious, But long at starting guard Means Carimi or scott will be our swing tackle, Brown maybe eligable for PS. But there will be a release of one those 2. Maybe a trade. But its telling on how bad our line really was.
What? It was not Ogletree. Where did you come up with this again?
-
How does Emery not take Sharrif Floyd?
-
Over and over, it's been "if ____ happens, I'm out of here." Just go already.
-
Damn, I see Jon Gruden has Tyrann Mathieu and Tavon Austin as the two best defensive/offensive players in this draft. My thoughts exactly.
You have Tyrann Mathieu as THE best defensive player in this draft?
-
All I'll say is that I'm not going to be shocked if they take Te'o or Patterson.
-
I would think it would be somewhat counter productive as a draft smokescreen. Why would we fein interest in a player to make a team trade with us for that player. It's like saying "we really like this guy but we'll let you have him". If a team traded to get in front of us, wouldn't that mess up our trade down ability?
What if it's a little message to our difficult QB?
There are 19 picks before 20 and a million after. If one team loves Glennon, maybe they jump the Bears to take him, thus making a player who the Bears actually want fall one more spot. Maybe the Jaguars pick at 2 then trade up to 19 again to take him. This possibly gets Fluker, Ogletree, Eifert, Austin or Cooper/Warmack to 20.
-
Either way, this is a smokescreen IMO. They want teams to see this, and they want teams in need of a QB- Buffalo, Jacksonville, Cleveland- to want to jump up to get that pick.
-
Jesse Williams is horrible. Pass.
Our next pick

Their 5th rounder? I'd go Swope, Mills, Scott, Poyer, or Bray.
