  1. I think that's what happened with John Abraham, though. The Bears just have to give him permission to talk terms with other teams.
  2. That's not true. The 2000 Ravens had Trent Dilfer. I think Rex has had enough time to work things out, he's got to show it tomorrow night. If he doesn't, it's Griese's turn. I'm sure Rex can be a good qb, and now, not 'sometime'. Maybe better than good. He's shown a good arm, good judgement. Where they've gone, I don't know. I really hope he can compose himself tomorrow and lead this team forward. It'd be such a waste otherwise. As some people have pointed out, his problem are about as easy to fix as a qb's problems can be. Hey Turner! You might want to step it up, yourself.
  3. Maybe, but they weren't running to the outside. Iirc, they just gashed the middle of the line over and over again. I'd expect bigger problems with the pass rush, I'm just saying, it didn't look good.
  4. The guy keys the rush, and the run d looked noticeably worse after he left last game. DAMMIT! I think a lot of people underestimated the effect of Mike Brown being out, now this. I know it's just 2 players out of 11, but it's 2 of the best. Anderson will get more reps, hopefully. Do you blitz a lb more often now? How do you try to cover for this?
  5. Agree on Turner. But it's getting worse. Previous game, it looked to be mostly accuracy issues. Those were still there yesterday (the badly underthrown deep ball). But there were also a lot of errors in judgement, like throwing without any sort of a lane. I really don't doubt that Rex can be a good qb. But he had a week to work out his issues and apparently got nothing done, even got worse. I think the best team is the one with a right Rex at qb, but I don't know if we'll see that again this year. I've been against a change until now, but if he doesn't improve this week, you've got to go to Griese.
  6. First, you mean less than 4 yards. Second, 10 frickin carries. And one of the short ones was a td. Two of the others were inside the opponent's 10. I wish you were kidding with this.
  7. 1 inside the 5 (from the 2, td), 1 from 6 out (3 yds), another from 7 out (2 yds).
  8. NE played more like scum than cream. Look at all those turnovers. That was just horrible. Grossman was lucky to place the ball anywhere close to where he wanted it. Our d-line was neutralized more often than not. The defense got beat deep, repeatedly, and they were outrun -- not just by Maroney, but Brady too. That's the most dispiriting game I've watched this year.
  9. Brady jukes Urlacher. Now I've seen everything. Goddam.
  10. We're real lucky we haven't been beat deep more often today. Lol, the reverse looked dangerous. The double, not so much. And I heart Ced.
  11. One of the worst freakin calls I've seen this year. Or any year.
  12. I know, I'm just saying, Payton was incredible earlier w/o as good an oline. I think the bigger thing is that it's Walter H. Payton.
  13. Kinda late in Payton's tenure, there...
  14. Works both ways, of course. If you can pass they aren't jumping on the run. Someone's just gotta do something, but unfortunately we decided to be the worst team in the league tonight.
  15. Well, that is what Dusty Baker told me.
  16. Worst possible opening drive. Then Jacobs gets the td to f my fantasy team. Nice...
  17. Agreed. Rex has been great, but there's no getting around the fact that he's an inexperienced (read: young) qb, and you've got to be ready to slow the offense down if he's struggling like that. I would be extremely pissed if Rex is pulled at half, unless his line is something like 33%, 0 td, 3 int, and a fumble. He would have to be historically bad.
