  1. If we're not going to trade for a good WR, then we'll have to go the draft route or the FA route. Houshmandzadeh would be an awesome signing. A couple guys I'd look at would be Bobby Engram and Amani Toomer to keep a reliable veteran presence in there and offer Hester/Bennett an opportunity to better themselves. Via the draft, guys like Jeremy Maclin and Percy Harvin would likely be there in the 1st round when we pick, both would be good selections.

Realistically, we could overhaul this WR core by going out and getting a stud (Boldin/Houshmandzadeh/Johnson) and drafting a WR early. I'd imagine something like...

    Johnson/Houshmandzadeh/Boldin

    Maclin

    Hester

    Toomer

    Bennett

would be a very nice WR group with potential to be awesome. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping Lloyd. He was pretty impressive early in the season before he got hurt. I'd also like to keep Davis but only as an injury replacement or special teamer.

  2. He looked a LOT better tonight. He got some decent blocking and looked to go vertically instead of trying to run around everyone and get tackled for -3 yards. He was aggressive going down the field and looked like the Hester of old. I expect him to break one against Houston, and if I'm the Bears, I put Hester out there returning kicks NEXT to Danieal Manning.

Side note...we need to play Soulja Boy again when he is back to return.

  3. Ok, you lost me at that. I couldn't read any more. Chad Johnson??? Are you serious???

It's pretty obvious that Chad Ocho Cinco hates playing in Cincy, and it makes sense since he'll probably be available. But it seems you are insinuating that he is not a top-notch receiver?

  4. How to fix the Bears:

    - Add a good, reliable, consistent Quarterback.

    - Add a legitimate #1 receiver.

    - Add a possession receiver who doesn't drop passes.

    - Improve the offensive line.

    - Get a pair of healthy DT's who can stop the run in the middle and free things up for the LB.

    - Get a pair of good DE's who can consistently put pressure on the QB and get big sacks.

    - Add a good 3rd linebacker who can complement Urlacher and Briggs.

    - Add a safety who is good in coverage.

    - Fire the Defensive and Offensive coordinators.

    - Completely get rid of the Cover-2.

    - Hire a new head coach with a little fire (Cowher would be loved by Bears fans).
