  1. Jackson, Quinn and Mack are untradeable.

I highly disagree that Fuller is untradeable and I think he could get a 2nd round pick for a team willing to extend him. Hicks should be traded as well.

Do not let Robinson get away for free.......franchise him while simultaneously telling his representation to seek a trade.

Miller provides nothing to this team. He averages 3 receptions for 33 yards a game for his career. Wims has 28 receptions in his career. There is no point keeping guys that are worthless and clearly have discipline issues.

I think you have to cut as many non-performing guys as possible. Graham, Skrine, Leno, Massie, Miller, Wims are easy. Hicks will probably be gone too. You try to trade Fuller and/or Jackson and even Mack at this point.

I would bring back the following:

Santos, Mingo, Edwards, Patterson, McManis, Ifedi, Bush, Scales, Jenkins, Urban, and DHC

    Bars, Holtz, Vaughters, Woods

This might be a bit of hyperbole, but Eddie Jackson might be the worst contract in the NFL right now.

There is no way Fuller , Jackson, Mack or Quinn have any chance of being traded. If you go by their value of contract, this year is bad juju for trying to trade them. Cost doesnt match production. I have read projections that 2 years from now the cap will not being going up because they will be dealing with the same problems they had to deal with this year. We are stuck in cap hell . I hope they can move money down the road and keep as many stars as we can. Hicks is the only star that does not have a negative impact on the cap. I am not lobbying to get rid of him, just think its the only one that works with the cap for a 32 year old , having injuries the last two years. I think they will think Nichols taking a jump will ease the pain. I doubt they will get rid of Miller with AROB probably not coming back. Losing AROB and Hicks will hurt but with so many big contracts they will have no choice. I like the idea of moving contracts down the road but with the next two years being stagnate, I think it will be hard to move everything 3 years down the road and work.

WRs:  Miller, Mooney, Wims, Ridley, and a draft pick looks like our next year roster. Not good

DTs:  Nichols, McCullens, Goldman, Urban, McCullens and RRH might be what we are stuck with.

I would love everybody back but the numbers tell a different story. I just dont think your moving players and restructuring contracts 2 years down the road is going to work.  If I have a choice, I would try to bring back AROB and let Hicks go. Younger, a #1 WR for a new QB.

I think you're right about everyone but Fuller. Fuller has been pretty damn good this year, even if he's not getting INTs.

If I were the Bears, I'd move Fuller and Hicks next year before their contract expires and re-sign Robinson. They need to spread the money around both sides of the ball.

I don't think anyone wants to crown him except the media.  It's funny how that worm has turned.  We will not crown his ass, lol.

My final judgement on Trubisky will be Sunday.  We know he can play winning football of things are good around him.  What want to see is if he can rise to the occasion on a big night.  Last big opportunity he had like this was when we lost to Philly in the playoffs.  He didn't play well that game, but did put us in position for the double doink.

I don't believe he will ever be worthy of the spot he was chosen, as he simply has never put the team on his back.  Can he?  Sure.  Will he?  Meh...

That's fair.....but Idk if there's a better option for 2021 than Mitch. At least you know you can get average play and semi-competency on him if you keep it to 200 level NFL QB play or lower. The difference between Trubisky and Goff is that McVay never let Goff try the 3-400 level stuff, while Nagy attempted to let Trubisky jump from JuCo to University level QB play.

If anyone wants to crown Trubisky's ass, then crown him. But the fact remains, Trubisky is who we thought he was. It's time to move on. Overpaying an average guy who 99% of Bears' fans wanted to cut just two months ago is a horrendous idea, especially when his recent "improvement" is more about game-planning than anything he did personally, and is just average to begin with anyway. Let's be real; he's averaging 250ypg, 2TDs, 1INT over the last five games. That's not exactly stellar; it's just a glass of tepid water for Bears' fans crawling through the QB Wasteland for so many years.

    Nice Post, Jason.

That being said....Trubisky might be able to be like Goff if the OC uses him properly. That's patently average.

Which of his 6 incompletions do you want to criticize besides the pick?  He has been a top 10 quarterback since he returned.  What else do you want?  On top of that, how much better is Montgomery and the OL?

I have to see it against a decent defense. They've been playing crap defenses and it could just be a product of that. I want to see him do it against GB in 2 weeks and then I might be willing to give him a bit more slack. He also threw another bad pass in the game that Harrison Smith dropped, otherwise he'd have had 2 picks. You can't take points off the board like he did.

He actually had multiple reads a few times yesterday.  Those things come with time and confidence.  The OL has been hot garbage.  Bill Lazor has made all the difference in the world.  They are finally tailoring the gameplan to the skill set of the team.  Nagy's ego would not allow the round peg to go in the round hole.

Yeah, but a few times isn't most plays, which is what a good QB is supposed to do.

Mitch made that terrible throw in the endzone and it wasn't even a terrible decision.  He underthrew the ball by 5 feet.  Bolts couldn't even get back to it to prevent the pick.  On the other hand, Kyler Murray gets praised for his terrible, ill advised, throw in the endzone, where Fitzgerald makes a fantastic catch.  I'm tired of the Mitch bashing.  He's averaged 31 f'n points a game.  Before that, we were begging for a score.

He's still a 1 read QB and if the one read isn't there he takes off and runs. Lazor is just putting him in the best position to succeed within his limitations, which is what should be expected.

  9. Anyway, I think we saw yesterday that it's the same old Mitch and the only question is if they can afford anything better without using draft capital.

Also, I can't believe how much the defense has taken a shit over the last 6 weeks or so.

Right now the team is pretty much locked into a pick between 15-20. If the QB you want is not there, and there is not an OT there, you trade back and gain back some draft capital. It would be nice to trade back into the late 1st and pick up an extra 2nd round pick. You still get the 5th year option and an extra 2nd rounder.

The order of the wins and losses change so much of the narrative. If the Bears were 3-3 thru 6 (instead of 5-1), then went 4-4 in the next 8 to be 7-7 thru this week, I don't think anyone would be wanting them to lose.

If they make the playoffs, they are guaranteed to play the #2 seed, which looks like it will be NO or SEA. TB also has a chance to slide up into that slot. The Bears beat TB, almost beat NO, and SEA's defense is terrible. The Bears would be underdogs in any of those games, but those are all winnable games.

They're probably going to need someone to replace Robinson so if they can grab someone like Jaylen Waddle it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Regardless of what happens to end this season, Pace and Nagy's fate should already be sealed.  Just like Lovie and Angelo, Nagy and Pace are nothing more than Bumslayers.

Imagine being a Jets fan right now.....you sit through that miserable season, thinking you're getting a generational QB prospect and then *poof* they pull a game out of their arse and now they don't get Lawrence.
