I see both. I've seen him mow people over, I've seen him out run them, and I've seen him juke them. He certainly exploded during the Rose Bowl for one example! And USC's D is pretty darn good having seen them all year long. I'm sure his offense helped his numbers...as most college RB's do. No one really knows until you hit the NFL. I do not see him as Benson, because Benson is a bust without heart. If he turns out to be what we hoped Benson would be, then it is a huge upgrade. I think he is better. I have not been this amped about a potentially back falling to us in eons... Odds are I will be let down as another team before us will probably pick him. I'll be happy with a good few other picks as well...just not jump to the ceiling happy.

Sorry...it's early here on the west coast... Is your final call that you take OL over RB?

I would take Mendenhall over both... But I would not be angered by Clady. Williams concerns me.

It makes sense to me... Mendenhall can do similar to what TJ and benson did together. He's versatile...he has power, speed, and moves.

Is he Snake Plissken's illegitimate son? I think he will be a beast...given a better OC...

...as I once told some Sox and Cubs fans that are friends..."aren't we all just Bears fans in the end?" I will tell you if we draft Mendenhall, he will be better than Neal Anderson. I'm still baffled as well... I think passing on a talent like Mendenhall will haunt us. I'm OK taking a top OL over Mendenhall...just not a reach. I still view Mendenhall at a top 10 prospect, so if he falls to us, we will be fools not to take him. As Hans & Farnas said, "Listen to me now, believe me later." We have an abundance of pressing needs, and OL is a huge one...that we must address early. But not in lieu of taking a game changing back...regardless if his blockers suck or not. Please feel free to tell me "I told you so" if I am wrong. I'll be happy to put some Tabasco on my plate of crow... But, also expect the same from me. ...in the end, here's hoping that whoever we get is awesome!
