Are Forte and Mendy that different?
And hes probably the best blocking RB in the draft I think he a real upgrade at the position.
-
keep an eye for mike brown II tommarow
He looks like a bullet and hits like a truck i bet he plays faster than his time good late round pick.
- What Number Will Forte Wear

Now what??
I have always been a Mendenhall supporter in fact i was hoping that they moved back into the first to get him (Damn Pitt) but Chris Williams is one the best LT prospects in this draft and can start day 1 moves Tait to the RT Upgrade at 2 positions. Duane Brown the last OT chosen in the first isnt even expected to start for Houston he's a development pick. So I doubt the same value could be found in the second. Im calling it now Forte will be the starting RB when the season starts, watch his youtube hes sneaky fast and breaks tackles. Add a Guard and a WR in round three this offense might do something. Good first day i think.

Chad Johnson for pick pick 42 and RB Travis Henry is confirmed.

Garrett Wolfe
If we dont draft Mendenhall or Stewart, Forte i think is the only viable option if we take a speed back and Benson fails we will be drafting another RB next year.

Parting with Benson
I think we keep 4 RB's Benson, Rookie, Wolfe and regulate Peterson to special teams only I cant remember the article but I think I read an article stating this. Wolfe I dont think was a mistake Benson failure made Wolfe inept. If Benson was the beast RB he was supposed to be, then Wolfe would have came in been a very good 3rd down change of pace back but asking for him to be and every down back I dont think JA had that in mind when drafting Wolfe. The best thing is bring in *REAL* competition for him see if it drives him if not cut your loses but the back up plan is in place.

Sorry man Chad can only be had for a first round pick and Losman is not really a necessity for me I'm eating his huge cap hit so i need to get the value for him. Buffalo if you Listening (Chad and Deltha Oneal for your 1st and 4th.

This is more like it
When you said undrafted FA I thought you were referencing Grant and Graham 2 undrafted backs that not only exceed expectations but had a lot yardage and would have been in the top part of the rushing column had they started the season. My thinking is at RB position we need a SUPERSTAR due to the lack of skill at the skill positions something I dont think we can get in lower rounds. I looked at the 2007 draft other than Peterson and Lynch production of the lower round RB was very minimal, Buffalo and Minnesota teams that improved that have bad QB's and no WR kinda like us. I have said i will be fine with Chris Williams or Clady but after that Mendenhall should be the name next on the board.
