Just like what bears4ever has said. Only Marshall could consistently make plays last yr out of all WRs. Bennett always hurt. Jeffrey was hurt most of yr and is really young still. Hester no hands nd weems is only a returner. My point is to keep ur options open and not ignore wr. I dont believe that WR will be in top half of draft but what if a guy like tavon Austin or coraddele Patterson falls to us late 2nd. Do u completely ignore them just because OL or LB or TE is a bigger need. That's a stupid way to draft. Draft best player available at a position of need. That simple. I do believe it would be 4 or 5th rd before we address WR but gotta keep mind open. Just like if by some miracle 1 of top fa wr wanted to come here so bad that he would accept 2-4 mil a yr. U gonna say no thanks

A person who can get behind the DBs and when he gets chances makes the catch. As trestman has said in past "playmaker". Hester has playmaking ability but dude simply can't catch. Great returner but a horrible WR. Can't trust him

Trestmen talked today and said he has spoken with hester but only in a "get to know" type talk. He also said he spoke with Url for 30-40 mins and Url mentioned that he wants to return. Him and tucker also confirmed that we will stick with 4-3 base defens. Good move IMO

Just last yr we said play calling would be much better and jay wouldn't take such a beating and forte would be happy under tice as he said rb would be bigger focus in his play calling. Oline would be better with a lot less 5 and 7 step drops. U really want to guarantee all that. I have some inside knowledge u can share

Please re read what i posted. I never said we must use 2nd for that guy. I simply said keep your options available in the 2nd if a guy like Austin falls. Thats it. No i can't see him falling there but crazier things have happened before. I guess my other point is Bennett and Jeffrey have missed significant time due to injuries so we need to prepare in case that happens again. We can't pretend those 2 won't get injured again

My position is exactly what bears4ever just said. I don't want to spend big for 1 at all because we must address OL, LB and TE also and if we spend big for 1 it cripples our ability to address other needs. In draft i keep an open mind starting in 2nd rd. If a tavon Austin falls that far we got to take him or trade for a ransom cuz the value is very high for a guy like him. I don't think it will happen but we do need to get a wr who can compliment the others. Just because we are switching to a WCO doesn't mean we never take shots downfield otherwise it takes away 1 thing that separates Cutler from other QBs

According to u 2 we already have a guy who can consistently take top of defense. So tell me why every analyst says we need to get a guy who can do it. All those guys must be idiots i guess. Look i love Jeffrey and think he will do great things as a #2 nxt to marshall but how many times did we actually see him create separatio. Sure he did a few times. Most can do it a couple times but he doesn't do it consistently at all

The 2nd one was a 23 yd hookup. Your seriously using this as proof that he's a home run threat. Wow. U just proved that no matter what proof i provide that u cant be convinced otherwise. Anyone can have a couple plays where they take top off defense but at this point jeffrey is not a home run threat. He's a tall possession type WR that can occasionally take top off. He could become that guy if he learns to separate from DBs. He excels at using his body very well to shield defender. He has good hands and rums good routes

Tell that to anquan boldin. Hes had a good career and his 40 time was 4.72. In the NFL its not just speed. There is so much more to it than that fir a WR. Hands, route running ability, ability to separate, footwork. Etc etc etc. That's my whole point. Scs on his list named Charles Hawkins. Sub 4.3 40 time yet couldn't catch 30 balls last yr. Its 1 thing to have speed and its whole other thing to be a good WR with speed

Jeffrey isn't a home run hitter. Never has been. Sure 40 is nice but its not everything. What's his biggest flaw back in college and coming into pros? Separation. Hes never been great at creating separation. In general anyone who thinks we don't need a speed wr and spits out 40 times of current guys then obviously doesn't watch games. A persons 40 time is so overrated. WR need ability to separate. DBs it comes down to footwork and angles. Can we please get off a persons 40 time

I completely agree they will get TE and at least 1 OL in FA to start. I dont think levitre is coming cuz of $$ but if we sign levitre and draft Johnson i would be very happy with that

Knox didn't have great hands however he did have good hands. Also 1 thing knox did have was a very good college resume however ppl overlooked it because of competition level. He also had an extremely good work ethic. Generally speaking u don't find guys like him in the 5th. Don't get me wrong its very possible. I'll go thru that list tonight when I'm done working and give u my thoughts on them

I start looking in the 2nd rd. I know some of u will misinterpret what im saying here but if one of the big WRs like Tavon Austin falls into nud 2nd or later we would be stupid not to entertain the idea there because the value would be so high that u just cant ignore it. I seriously doubt it happens but anything could happen. It also depends on what happens in FA. But its imperative that we can get that speed WR that can take the cover off the D. Must have decent hands.

Yeah that doesn't seem accurate. As players take exit physicals which must be done within 3 days of teams last game but then are on there own til camp opens
