  1. This sounds like a lot of fun ... count me in!
  2. A guy that could be had in the 5th round probably is Cory Boyd from South Carolina. I live in Columbia and have watched Cory his whole career here. He is an extremely hard worker, good leader, and a heck of a back. He was our 2nd leading receiver last year and he almost never goes down after first contact. I would love to see the Bears get OL's in the first 4 rounds! We need them that badly.
  3. I agree .. Mendenhall is not the answer in the first round ... Hell .. I would be happy if we have 7 picks and we take all OL! We definitely need to get a WR or two ... do we have anything to trade for Fitsgerald? I always hear about other teams looking for WR's and their likely destinations .. I NEVER hear the Bears looking to trade for one though. What about Javon Walker? Is he worth a contract offer or is he too injury prone/ attitude problem? OL and WR are huge holes to fill right now ... I think we can pick up a RB late .. what about Warrick Dunn? Is he asking too much? Or maybe Julius Jones .. although he reminds me of Benson. All we have done is subtract from a 7-9 team ... I sure hope Angelo is not expecting to have a better record by using rookies next year to fill these holes.
  4. The Bears are weak at both lines .. they need to spend the first three rounds addressing this issue. I would love to see them resign Grossman, but I would give Orton the starting job based on his last three game performance. I still don't think he has done anything to lose the job since 2005. As for a late round running back ... look at Cory Boyd from South Carolina. The guy just loves to play running back. He has great hands, decent speed, blocks well and drags tacklers. I live in SC and have been very impressed with him. The guy has so much heart it is amazing. He should be there for the taking round 4 or 5. We need to improve most positions by free agency if possible. I am for getting proven young free agents if possible. I would trade draft picks if necessary. I agree with most of what is said on this thread .... With our offensive line, it is hard to evaluate running backs or quarterbacks. Can you imagine Tom Brady or Peyton Manning with our line? Look at Peyton when he came in the league, he was running for his life and throwing interception after interception. Rex has looked good when he has the time, but poor when he is hurried ... which is like every other qb in the league. I have also watched Andre Woodsen a lot this year and am NOT for drafting him. He would be a first or second round pick and that is only because of the weak QB class this year.
