That was a great kick, and great coverage. And I love how they did that. One guy stand him up, the rest go for the ball. No challenge. wow, Thomas Jones got stuffed. I would have really liked to see Benson in right now.
-
Challenge. There goes his time out.
-
WOW!!! DA BEARS!
-
Next series I am hoping for Benson. Would be wise to switch it up. Lets see what Benson's got.
-
As good as Gould!
-
Why the hell would you not run it there? We are a run first team rivera, not pass.
-
a lot of offenses look good against this 49'ers D
-
Another nice hole. I say Jones and Benson should switch ever other series.
-
YEAH!!! Grossman went to the check down reciever!!!!!!!!
-
finally. A run to start the game. I love Pat Summeral. I wish he announced all of our games.
-
Even though that was a decent return, I would like to see Hester returning kicks also.
-
YES!!! We don't have crap announcers today. I hope we never get Aikman.

Brian Urlacher was voted the second most overrated player in the NFL by players behind Terrell Owens (saw it on the fox special, charge for the championship). 8% of the league voted he was the most overrated player. Like Tommy Waddle said, the league most be jealous of him. Well, I bet everyone on the Bears voted for Urlacher, like with the White Sox and Pierzynski. But still 8%. Oh well, that just gives Urlacher more reason to pound the sh*t out of the league.

I kinda like the orange uni's. And maybe tommorow will be Nathan Vasher's break out game for the season, kinda like it was last year vs. the niners, and he had the 108 yard return. Wish I could go, but I will be here, in the gameday thread tommorow. Go bears!

This is going to be an easy game. Everyone said that about last week, but last week was a primetime game, and their was a whole lot more emotions in it.
-
porque? I don't understand what makes that "pukeable." In all honestly, IMO, we'd would be very lucky to have a 1st day like that. no, not really.

here is a better quick mock... 1. Joe Staley, OT - Central Michigan | Ht: 6-5 | Wt: 300 | 40-Time: 4.7 O-Line is solid, but old. Joe Staley has great feet, and has very good size. 2. John Wendling, S - Wyoming | Ht: 6-1 | Wt: 222 | 40-Time: 4.5 Mike Brown can no longer be depended on. Can play both FS and SS. 3. Matt Spaeth, TE - Minnesota | Ht: 6-7 | Wt: 265 | 40-Time: 4.8 Great run blocking TE who comes from a run first offense. Has good hands also, and a big red zone target. 4. Justin Durant, OLB - Hampton | Ht: 6-2 | Wt: 230 | 40-Time: 4.6 Tackling machine from a D-II school. Lacne Briggs possibly not returning. 5. Matt Trannon, WR - Michigan St. | Ht: 6-6 | Wt: 235 | 40-Time: 4.6 Could be a better Justin Gage. Has great size and would be a great end zone target. 6. Dustin Fry, C/OG - Clemson | Ht: 6-3 | Wt: 320 | 40-Time: 5.30 No real backup at center, and Ruben Brown most likely in his last season. 7a. Germaine Race, RB - Pittsburg St. | Ht: 5-11 | Wt: 225 | 40-Time: 4.7 Big powerful back, tore up D-II. Practice squad guy possibly. 7b. George Batiste, OG/OT - Southern Miss | Ht: 6-5 | Wt: 300 | 40-Time: 5.3 Added depth and could play both tackle and guard spots. Practice Squad guy possibly.

booo golf. When I hit a ball, I want someone else to go after it. (I forgot which former baseball player said that).
-
The more I look at it, John Wendling from Wyoming would be a steal in the 2nd round, if we could get. He runs like a 4-4 40, a big hitter, 6-1 222 lbs, and can play both Safety spots.
-
Depending on which Giants show up, this will either be an easy game or tough one.
-
never mind this mock, it was a bad one...

It is kinda early, but IMO, it is never too early to start thinking about the future. SS will be a first day need, IMO. We can't depend on Mike Brown. WILL line backer will also possibly be a need we need to fill. Also, a future TE project will be needed. Clark might be having a good season, but he is no spring chicken, and Gillmore/ Reid aren't the greatest back-ups. Maybe WR, Muhammed has been inconsistant this season, disappearing at times, and Bradley hasn't looked anywhere near 100%. But, definant needs are the O-Line. A OT first is a must, and a OG durring the mid-rounds is a must also, IMO. Also, a RB might be needed, with Thomas Jones possibly wanting out of town again next off-season. Thoughts?

first off, one game doesn't make a player good or bad. second off, I am pretty sure McGowin violated some team rule, and is suspended for a week anyway. And, McGowin just had a pretty bad leg injury. There is no telling if he is near 100%. Also, we are facing the 49'ers next week. They are worse then the cardinals, and this game will have no where near the same emotion as last weeks game did.
-
Here should be the depth chart for SS right now... Harris (if healthy) McGowin (if healthy) Johnson Worrell I am sorry, but I never want to see Worrell start in a game or be in a close game. He is a special teamer.

There is nothing wrong with that play. First play of the game, why not and go for the knockout punch right away? Catch them off-gaurd. That play will succeed more then it will fail.
